Arsenal have moved to secure cultured centre back Ignasi Miquel to a new contract. His two-year professional deal comes into play after he turned 17 last week and the former Barcelona trainee looks set for a bright future.

A giant among fellow Under 18 players, Miquel, to look at, is a monster. Added to his height and frame, the Catalan possess pace, defensive versatility and a football intelligence which was implanted during his spell with Barcelona and is something which the Arsenal coaching staff are harbouring.

Brief Reserve appearances last season caught the eye but also exposed deficiencies that he must work on, notably his positioning. Many Arsenal fans are crying out for a technically gifted, strong, tall centre half and Miquel, with some work, fits that bill. Ignasi has been with the first team for training on numerous occasions so far this term, and it seems Arsene Wenger is delighted with the progress of a boy he fought so hard to sign. Luke Ayling ? havent seen much of miquel, so more quality defenders to chose from the better.. however, out of the ‘last crop’ of defenders (youthcup winners etc) i believe Ayling is the most talented compared to bartley, nordveit et al

I disagree, i think Bartley has truly stepped up in the last 6 months or so. He’s got pretty much everything in his locker and he’s starting to show real presence now… Don’t get me wrong, i think Ayling is class. But he’s got a bit to do having missed the start of the season to get back ahead in the pecking order.

    bartely-rio ferdinand, ayling-jhon terry,miguel-taller version of puyol.

I will be much happier if Ayling will make it ahead of Miguel and Bartley becouse Ayling have been in the club since he was so young. But if any youth make it from our academy I will be so happy anyway. Bartley and Ayling is so awesome and Ayling looked almost better than vermaelen in preseason. Ayling, Bartley, Djuroue and Vermaelen is the future and can be our back bone for a decade.

I don’t think Djourou will make it at the CB. He’s not strong enough for the EPl, so I think of Nordvelt too. I can see Bartley upstaging Djourou when Gallas leave.

The real CB prospects that will come through and suitable for the EPL are Ayling, Bartley and Miquel. The remaining are not mean to succeed enough to make it here.

Hajrovic is a CB prospect to!

Miquel is not from Barca, Irishgunner. He’s a catalan from a small club in Barcelona.

I remember something about him being at Barca, coming through the ranks and then getting released and snapped up by UD Cornella. They’re who we signed him from.

    Hey Mate,

Good site. Some useful and knowlegeable posts man :) I know, I am creeping, lol. I hope can produce something like this myself one day. Which site did you buy your templates from?

Hopefully one of you folks might possibly help me out a little here. I am searching for someone who I was reliably told used to be a member on here. They did use to use the tag ‘Alienlens’.

Because I am looking to start my own site on health type goods for items such as: professional teeth whitener (hence the where did you get your templates from, lol) but am having realllll difficulty getting hold of dropshippers for these goods. I had been in touch with this guy but my PC got stolen and unfortunately had all my contact details on it (I know, I know, should have backed it up :( )

So if you people have heard or seen anything of this guy could you let me know please? Failing that maybe one of you folks knows someone?

And, which hosting do you use as I keep being told bad tales about the host I am considering of hosting my site with. Also any other informative tips you could give re starting up my site would be most useful and gratefully appreciated.

I hope that someone has helpful info on this

    Thanks Bro,
