Arsenal’s Under 18′s continued their good form by dispatching of Southampton at London Colney this morning. In a cold and physical encounter, a brace from Luke Freeman plus one from Conor Henderson sealed the win.

Steve Gatting’s Under 16′s drew 1-1 with the same opposition.

    Vela should watch out for this Freeman kid.. He seems to be very lethal!

    Well this is the U18s, not even the reserves, I think it’s fair to say Freeman could have a future but won’t be troubling Vela for at least two years.

    @Giandano

    Vela would have scored 100 in every U18 game. if he was playing regularly in the first team he would have settle down and scored a lot more I believe. he is still learning to play with the first team. I think he is already better than eduardo as a lone striker and also better in the wings than eduardo. Why Eduardo is ahead of vela i don’t know. Bendtner and Vela seems to like to play with each other alot and can be very lethal from now on.

    Bedeuro – Chamakh is actually not coming to Arsenal – there was a lot of contact in the summer, I hear, but he now thinks he can join a better club and earn more money, so he doesn’t actually want to come any more.

    I know that sounds a bit ITK, but I did give you the Smalling to United confirmation early…

    chamakh is shit,let him go to another club and be a flop,really tho he should stay with his current team,they look on course for another title and they can give him c.league football

    Thanks Jimbo, I didnt want an arrogant player anyway.
    What do you think of Baba Diawara , Djalma, Doumbia, Khouma Babacar, and Cheick Diabate, they all look O.K 2 me!

    @Tony & Jom: Of course he is not gonna be troubling Vela (yet), I’m just being playin there guys, no need to be so serious… LOL

    Btw, like Jom I also think Bendtner and Vela links up very well everytime they play together upfront. However, they only play together in a 4-4-2 formation, so I’m not so sure if they can maintain their rhythm in our current formation since there will be another forward playing with them up front.

    Can u add a little detail from the match J? I’m sure everyone would love to know a lil bit more about the match…

    Vela is the real deal. It is hard for a young striker to play that lone role though. In a couple years he will be a top class striker. Freeman is scoring for the u18s but Vela was playing proffesionally in spain at his age. Not to mention he won the golden shoe at the 2005 u17 world cup as Mexico won the title.

    Vela needs to play regularly immediately or he will end up like his fellow countryman Nery Castilo, another Mexican hotshot who failed to shine in the big stage… I think we should play him in the right hand side of the front three, playing a similar role whit what Arshavin did for us in the left wing, that is cutting inside from the right wing to create problems for the opposition defense with his left foot. But to do so, he may needs to improve his weaker foot a lil bit…

    Enough about Vela, If anyone knows anything about this match please tell me who was our main man in this match? Did Afobe & Aneke played well in this match? and.. what about the other players (Evina, Yennaris, Ozyakup etc.)?
    Thx
