i dont know why people are thinking about switching the current system for next year.. imagine this front line/mid field... Front: R.V.P (or) Vela/ Bendtner (or) Chamak/ Wellington (or) Arshavin Midfield: Fabergas/ Song/ Diaby.... UNSTOPPABLE!!!! Bendtner is becoming the player Arsenal need up front, tall and a presence. His header started the rally, and though he may not take all his chances, his finishing will improve (quote me). And if he fails theres Chamak (or even RVP). The wings are covered w/ rosicky and nasri as replacements if neceassry, as well as Walcott (who honestly ive lost almost all faith in), Sunu, Watt, vela... Diaby and Song are becoming formidable midfielders (Where are all the Diaby-haters after his winnig header vs. 'Pool?!). Back line: Sagna (or) Eboue (again another clutch player this season)/ Verminator/ Gallas (prob will be his last season for the Gunners/ Gibbs (Clichy as got too complacent w/ both Traroe and Gibbs being out (hough Traroe is not physically tough enough for the prem, and it has shown on the field. Gibbs is pure class in my mind.... AND i forgot Wilshere, Barazite, Randall, Freeman, J.E.T, Frimpong and co. who could all burst into the first team if the time arrives...... Just a thought

Look at the interview during the second half of this clip...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWQp2bg7zEU
Wellington seems like a good lad. It's nice to see him emotional about making his debut.
His manager certainly seems to rate him too.

1. it is extremely hard to find the black box for writing comments (the background of the site is black too!).

2. Was this a game for Fluminenses A-team or was this yet another U-19 game as usual with Wellington?

@ TJ da goon
I agree with you. He has the quality to win the ball back when they battle against him. That shows intelligent and technique. That can't be taught out. I start to see how good he really is.

More than just his doggedness, TJ, I like the fact that off the back of a piece of sloppy play like that he had the composure to calmly play a beautiful curled ball straight onto the oncoming strikers foot... what technique and composure (though it makes me worry about his left foot a little - didn't stop Paul Merson, though). Can you imagine Wilshere, Fabregas, and Wellington forming an attacking three in a few years? The striker in front of them I don't know yet, hopefully Van Persie, but maybe Bendtner can keep on improving and turn into the 25 goal a season threat some of us (not many of us, but some of us) think he can be. Let's say Arshavin has 2 or 3 years at the very top of his game, Wellington and Wilshere will be the right age to start making Nasri (quality player) worry about his place in the starting XI... no pressure, just being optimistic.

                 Van Persie/BendtnerChamakh(?)

Wilshere Fabregas Wellington

Also, J, how knowledgable are you about the outstanding talent provision in the work permit laws? It seems that they can be a little unpredictable... Denilson was fine, but Vela had to do his two years in Spain. I assume youth level international caps play a part, as Denilson captained Brazil at every youth level, whereas Vela's breakthrough was based more on one outstanding world cup performance for a strong, but not dominant football nation... i suppose talented enough to stand out in brazil then the home office just assume you're good! I guess my question is, how sure can we be that he'll get a work permit, and has he been playing international football at youth team levels? If not, do you know if he is expected to get called up any time soon?

P.S. sorry for the long post, I just can't control myself :)
P.P.S Love the new site, really classy.
