More to follow.

      he’s playing top flight football
week in and week out and Eredivisie is a very good league
I dont understand why its a bad move for him
Yes he’s not going to a great team but he will play every week in a very good league and its a brilliant move for him
Succeed there and he will really push wenger for the first team spot

Well said Andrew – If this is true i also believe this to be a very good move for Nacer

He’ll be playing top flight football, probably be a regular and is back in his native country. Why is this a wrong move??

Playing week in week out in the dutch top flight is a great move, better than SPL or Championship. It is as good a move as Coquelin has got and a better move than Botelho, Watt, Freeman, Bartley Galindo. OK it does not quite match (Traore) going to Juve, but Nacer will do well back home and hopefully give Wenger another tough decision next term>

      Good luck Nacer.

Also, it might be a better move than Traore, because Traore might not even start at Juventus, am I right? Juve have pretty decent left-backs in Paolo de Ceglie & Fabio Grosso anyways.

Grosso is terrible at this point in his career. I think Juventus tried to offload him today actually… Anyway, because it’s a loan with a view to a permanent deal, even if Traore doesn’t get a lot of match time if he impresses enough and shows potential, it could be a good move for him in the long term. I doubt that Grosso / de Ceglie would be a harder obstacle than Clichy / Gibbs…

This was to be expected. Vitesse have just, as the first Dutch club ever, been taken over by a foreign investor – Merab Jordania. The former president promised that a first-ever title would be delivered ‘within three years’ with this new owner.
Thing is, Jordania has extensive connections with Roman Abramovich (or is, worryingly, just a front for our Russian friend). Nemanja Matic and Slobodan Rajkovic (both of Chelsea) have just gone on loan to Vitesse, and the fear (or hope, maybe, depending on how you look at it) is that Vitesse will be a stable for Chelsea and Abramovich, for players the Blues can’t (yet) use. However, other signings haven’t been forthcoming, so Jordania is now focussing on what you could call (a bit disparagingly) cast-offs from bigger teams, who are quite young and have sell-on value – like Barazite. So, I guess this is the plan: Barazite is a good player for the Dutch Eredivisie. He will turn quite a few heads, but in the course of the season Vitesse will make the deal permanent. Then they will sell him on.

The dutch league is the best training for the epl. Dutch players and players playing there seem to adapt very well to the english game, more so than players from Italy, Spain or Germany.

Being dutch, his choice was made when Vitesse turned up to sign him, obviously, going back to his country was a good oppotunity for him to play and Eredivisie is a good league, better than Scotland

because i think his talent warrants a better move.

no point saying it will forcee him into wengers reckoning when clearly he will never be in the managers first team plans.

He’s going to play top flight football that’s one of the best move the kid can make
and maybe he’s not all we make him out to be
Wenger hasnt taken him to Austria
Rangers didnt want to take him

If he sets the dutch league on fire then yes wenger will have to take him into consideration
      That’s how it works

Vitesse have a ton of rebuilding to do but they’ve got a mega-rich new owner and a link-up with Chelsea, taking Rajkovic, Matic and Delac on loan last week as well. Ismael Aissati has also joined them.

Arsenal.com have reported that James Shea has been given a surprise senior call up to the England squad lol. Is it me, or is that a bit premature? I don’t know if ihe’s actually been registered a call up though, if Hart, Foster and Carson were all injured would he actually play??

Very good point. I’m pretty sure he’s in the last year of his contract.
Is this the end of Barazite’s career at arsenal? I, like many believed he was a star in the making, but clearly maybe we aren’t fully aware of the truth.

      He wasn’t impressive at derby.
He has never impressed enough to go to austria
Rangers wanted him, trailed him, then still went for Weiss.

So maybe he really isn’t as good as we all thought/hoped.
