Serge Gnabry’s bold call looks to have saved his Arsenal career

Serge Gnabry has been considered a big talent at Arsenal for a long time, but he’s never quite managed a break through.

His loan last season to West Brom was seen as the perfect chance for him to get game time and cement himself as a Premier League are.
But he hardly featured and was heavily slammed by West Brom’s Head Coach Tony Pulis – who claimed he had a lot to learn.
Gnabry returned to Arsenal for pre-season training but then made the bold move to reject playing for the Gunners in their warm-up matches, opting to instead go to the Olympics to play for Germany.
He’s rejected the chance to be in Arsene Wenger’s early thoughts to play in Rio – and it was a major call to make.
What a decision it was though.
Gnabry has proven he made the right call by scoring goals for fun out in Brazil. His latest brace came against Fiji and he’s been one of the star players in the men’s football.
My tip is that Gnabry could return and feature a bit this season before another loan spell in January. You can get more tips and latest Premier League lines here.

Either way, opting to go the Olympics was bold but it could have just saved Gnabry’s Arsenal career.
