I saw Mark play in the Carling Cup at Everton when he came on as a sub and I thought then he looked good. Since I've seen him make a few more Carling Cup appearances. I thought it a shame that jhe went on loan to Burnley rather than get a chance to battle for a first team place but Arsene knows best! Always going to be difficult for him to break into the side with the midfield players we have but I reckon he's a great player.

How developed his the brains of many people commenting on this board? Apart From Cesc Wilshere Merida, his vision is better than eveyone else in squad including Ramsey.

Also how many deep-lying DM are out their football apart from Alonso and Carrick however we have a player who could become one, morons are shouting from the roof tops and talking smack. When you add the fact that he is also 6ft tall, with physical development and his technique, thats a lethal combination

Even many of current 1st team squad have been prone to going to sleep and apart from younsgter like Maldini and Cesc who had fantastic concentration from a very young age, inconsistency is what can happen with a young team. Anyone fully working brain and eyes that saw the Sheff Utd will know that only after Randall won 4-5 duels did our team settle down & played well

He has been ruthlessly efficient and effective as any memeber of our CC squad, putting only Song and Djourou ahead of him as our most important player. Only foolish kids with inbecile football brain are in denial of his talent.

He has already been told by Steve Bould to model himself on Michael Carrick, it will be nice to have a deep lying playmaker that can defend in our DM position.

Doesn't really receive the credit he deserves due to his very laid back style of play. Such a neat and tidy player and knows how to pick the right pass. He was absolutely outstanding against Sheff Utd, put in some great challenges(he's alot stronger then he looks) and really controlled the tempo of the game. He kinda reminds me of Micheal Carrick. Happy to sit in the gap between midfield and defence and spray passes around all day, making himself available all the time. Top player and if he doesn't make it here, no doubt he'll have a huge future in the game.

Saw him at Sunderland on the last day of the season and (I think) he replaced Eboue - and did well. Only had about 15 mins but contributed more in those 15 mins than Eboue did for 75 ... Hope he continues on and presses for that first team place

Tidy player, who reminds me a bit of Bentley (without the attitude!). Would be nice to see a few British lads involved in the first team. Could make a push for the right side of midfield ... He's got to be a better option than Eboue!

Has Randall ever played for any England's youth teams? I have said it more than once before on this blog, I don't think Randall will make it.
