Reserve captain Gavin Hoyte has joined relegation threatened Championship outfit Watford on loan this afternoon.
The 18-year-old recently penned a brand new four year contract with Arsenal, and after becoming a regular in the Carling Cup team, a host of clubs have been interested in acquiring the services of Hoyte junior.
Watford are managed by former Chelsea Reserves boss Brendan Rodgers – meaning Gavin should benefit from their youthful philosophy. The deal will see the versatile defender move across London for three months, in a bid to gain vital match experience.
Nacer Barazite has extended his loan with Derby County today, but has secured his long term future with the Gunners by signing a new contract with the club.
Young Guns understands it is a four year deal, which will see Arsène Wenger monitor his development until 2013. Nacer has made 19 appearances this campaign for the Rams, collecting three Man Of The Match awards, and creating 6 goals.
Young Guns will of course be keeping you updated with the progress of the duo throughout the season.

Great news do you also think the likes of song denilson or bendtner should go on loan as they are not goon enough yet imo but with a couple full seasons they could improve immensly.
Barazite – Probably the best player in the world.
still no depth on our wings then.
Can we have an article on Kyle Young please?
A little surprised that AW has not brought Barazite back as an option for the wide positions in which we are struggling at the moment. But still, I am quite hopeful of him for next season after seeing him in some reserve games last year. He has a sweet touch of the ball.
Great news for Hoyte and Barazite as well.
peter_afc: Song and Denilson are first team players and will without a doubt never be loaned out. Denilson is our key player now that Cesc is out. As for Nick, he will not go either I think. He is a very talented player. I have defended him on numerous blogs probably hundreds of times. He will come good. We would regret it so badly if we sold him. The talent is quite obvious, he just hasn’t got the experience to express it thoroughly yet.
I 2nd that an article on kyle young
He is not good enough yet to play wide regularly for us but will be a good striker in time. Wenger is looking to sign a new midfielder for the first team, most possibly a winger.
J, do you think that we will see barazite in carling cup and fa cup matches next season and the odd first team sub appearance? And also do you think that he will be played as a striker or on the wings? I can’t help but feel that without the injuries he sustained last season that he would be seen at the same level as ramsey and wilshere and would be on the bench for most matches.
Hey J. Sanderson,
just to let you know, a “double whammy” is a double bad thing, not a double good thing. Like if he tore up his knee and was released, that would be a “double whammy”.
I dont want to sound fussy or anything but i would like to see Barazite score a few goals.
Nacer’s stay at derby leads us to anew arrival on the flanks in first team!!
so i think we are very near or very sure of a new arrival in the form of well settled, experianced, and trusted wing player in this transfer window!!
J.,how do you rate these rumours of Arteta and Arshavin?
do u have any news about whom arsenal are chasing in this transfer window?(i am asking you as your links are always 100% true and certain!!i still remember when i lost hope in Nasri saga and u told that the signing is imminent,It came to reality!!!u are great!!)

Peter, are you serious? Denilson is first choice, and Song is first backup.
TC, I agree, but I take it as a sign that we are buying. Arteta and hopefully a more natural winger too.
What about Jack Wilshere, do you know anything? He turned 17 today, doesn’t this mean signing a professional contract?
Yes i meant if we sign other players such as arshavin inler cana etc and not this season but like nezt season possibly when we have no injuries to fab walcott androsicky and when we buy some players.
its great news! Hoyte wasn’t on loan till now so I very happy but i thought we call back nacer cause cesc theo and rosicky out… but for him this loan is just good
