Arsenal 2-3 Ipswich [Under 18s]

Arsenal Under 18s 2-3 Ipswich Under 18s

Arsenal suffered a second successive defeat in the Under 18s league this morning at the training ground against Ipswich town.

Goals from England Youth International Emmanuel Frimpong and central defender Kyle Bartley, [his first for the club] were not enough, as Steve Bould shuffled his pack ahead of the Youth Cup match against Liverpool, you can see a huge preview of that game from tomorrow afternoon on Young Guns

Arsenal still have a great chance to win the title with games in hand on there rivals,

Luke Freeman also made his debut, as we told you first and exclusively on Young Guns, but failed to impress, Arsenal’s high quality passing and movement meant the striker was a little out of his depth but remember it was only his debut.

Arsenal Under 16s 1-1 Ipswich Under 16s

Arsenal’s Under 16s got a more positive result against Ipswich under 16s, a excellent turn and then a cool finish from striker from striker Benik Afobe was the highlight, in a game that finished 1-1.

Right back Ben Glasgow also made his Under 16s debut coming on as a sub.

I personally do not think we can expect much from Luke Freeman strait away because he does not know his team mates, and they do not know him yet so therefore he is bound to find it a bit difficult IMO

I’ve never seen your blog until it popped up on Newsnow within the last week or two, but I like your stories. Very informative, insightful (especially about potential signings etc.)

    Well done!

Yea I agree. Freeman is only 15 and it was his very first match,so it will take some time for the young lad to adapt.

Keep informing us. There are very few sites which contain info about our young gunners. You are doing fine. Just be consistent and give the player ratings from next time.

Sanderson…do you know if Jack Wilshere is injured? Would suck if he is as he’s been incredible for the U18s. He didn’t get selected for England U17 either so it must be that he’s injured. Any inside info whats going on here?

I was just wondering if you could tell me what sort of player Freeman is?

Is he a Rooney type striker or an Owen type striker?
