Fran Merida will have a new coach, after Chris Coleman quit as Real Sociedad boss and his assistant Steve Kean followed him in a row over the new president, who agreed the deal to bring Fran back to Spain.
“We are quitting as coaches of Real Sociedad and we are leaving the posts with much sadness as it is a fantastic club,” former Wales defender Coleman told a news conference.
“Things have changed with the arrival of [new president Inaki] Badiola because there are now two different ways of seeing the club and of working.”
