As you may remember earlier this month Arsene Wenger spoke about his interest in Gillingham striker Luke Freeman who Young Guns confirmed we have signed and made his debut today.
In the same interview he also said that a couple of the Club’s 14-year-old players were so advanced “they had nothing to learn technically”.
Below you can read about the 3 players from the under 16s aged 14 who i think the boss could be talking about, I’m not Arsene Wenger so i cant confirm this but I’m mealy passing on my knowledge so check it out and remember the names !
Benik Afobe
Striker Benik Afobe was first introduced to fans on the previous version of this blog.
He is already the under 16s top scorer despite being aged just 14, averaging a goal every two games his expert finishing and tricks and skills make him a huge handful for any defender, also very good in the air he is the best player and our biggest prospect from his age range and is definitely one to watch for the future.
Chuks Aneke
Central midfielder Chuks is an England Youth International and one of the best kids coming through the system at the club,
A classy play-maker who can also play right midfield his excellent performances for the under 16s led to an England call up and 2008 should be bring many more appearance for his country.
Nicolas Yennaris
Another blog claimed Nicolas is a central midfielder “play maker type” but that isn’t true at all, known as “Nico” he is a right back, strong in the tackle and willing to get forward and put crosses in on either foot he is English born to a Cypriot father and a Korean mother.
Arsenal’s academy has been producing right backs for the first team for a while, Justin Hoyte and Kerrea Gilbert are excellent examples of high quality English defenders who have worked there way through the Hale End system.
One of the most exciting things about these players is not only are they the best from the under 16s but there all English.
