Arsenal’s Under 18s lost yet again in the the league at home to West Ham United, striker Luke Freeman partnered Nacer Barazite up front, and the little and large combination looked good, Luke worked hard for the team, but despite having a couple of good chances, never really looked like scoring, but his hard work and endeavour was very impressive.
Two goals in either half mean Arsenal’s chances of winning the title look very slim, with experienced players such as Gibbs, and Randall going out on loan Steve Bould and Neil Banfield’s squads are being stretched to the max, the inexperienced new scholars and still setting in.
Arsenal’s next Under 18s’s game is on Saturday the 9th against Southampton.
The Under 16’s had much better fortune away against West Ham, striker Benik Afobe grabbed both goals, the first a long range left footed volley a spectacular strike from the super impressive 14 year old, the second a cool finish one – on – one with the keeper.

lol. Every time the U16s win, you see Afobe’s name as the goalscorer. I hope he develops well as quality strikers are the hardest thing to find in football.
Do you know… Is Benik one of the “two U-14s on the youth team with nothing more to learn, technically speaking” that the Boss was referring to? I would really like to know the two he had in mind.
Sanderson,do you have the list of wich players started for the U16?
Thanks.
