Arsenal are linked with a couple more youngsters this week, from Championship clubs Cardiff and Plymouth Argyle respectively.

Aaron Spear a 14 year old striker is currently plying his trade for Plymouth’s Under 18s and is being dubbed the “New Wayne Rooney”, as was Arsenal’s January signing Luke Freeman.

Spear is in the middle of a country battle at the moment, the Scottish international team have already asked him to play for them because he has Scottish parents but England also want the prospect to represent them.

The country battle is also rumbling on at club level, with Glasgow side Rangers also keen on Aaron, should he choose to represent the “Tartan Army”.

Dad Ray is one of the youth team coaches at Plymouth and has helped his son be promoted to the Under 18 squad this term who are currently enjoying a excellent run in the F.A Youth Cup.

He has already been offered a professional contract by Argyle in a bid to keep him away from bigger clubs, but The People claim Arsenal are making regular check’s on him.

The other player in question is another Aaron, Aaron Ramsey a talented midfielder from Cardiff City.

Peter Ridsdale confirmed in June the Welsh side had rejected a £1 million offer for Ramsey from a North London club, thought to be Arsenal after Ramsey skippered an impressive Cardiff Under 18s side against us in last season’s F.A Youth Cup.

In August 2007, Ramsey made his debut for the Wales Under 21 side, coming on as a second half substitute, he is also captain of the Welsh Under 17 team.

I’ve seen Aaron play and spoke to him at the England Schools Semi Final. The boy is a Class act you could see that from the age of 7. Very much like rooney in touch, work-rate and temperament. And at the Semis there was a lot more than 2 Prem clubs there. A lot more.
