Loan News – Pedro Completes 90 Minutes For Salamanca

[Picture From Spanish Newspaper L1der]

Pedro Bothelo made his first start for Arsenal’s Spanish loan club U.D Salamanca, but the Brazilian signed from Figueirense in the summer, couldn’t stop the “Union” from slipping to defeat despite a goal from Jorge Alonso.

Salva Sevilla, got things going on 20 minutes, before Alonso’s stunning 30 metre strike got Salamanca level but they couldn’t hold on and Juanjo won it for the hosts on 88 minutes.

Sevilla Atletico are in 8th with Salamanca in 12, Promotion looks unlikely this season.

Pedro looked good, showed some excellent touches, Salamanca are using him as a left winger, but he likes to get back and help out the defence, he is also very agile can roll away from challenges, looks a very good prospect but towards the end of the game his lack of fitness showed, which can be expected, he wears P. BOTHELO on the back of his shirt, so he will probally just have Bothelo on his Arsenal shirt when he comes back in the summer.

From the picture above you can see he has changed alot since his presentation to the Salamanca fans at the start of the season.

Sevilla Atlético:
Javi Varas, Víctor Díaz, Lolo, David Prieto, Gallardo, Jonathan, Oscar, Salva Sevilla, Pablo Sánchez, Perotti y Juanjo.

Salamanca:
Biel Ribas, Gañán, Catalá, Pelegrín, Dani López, Alvaro, Jorge Alonso, Pedro Bothelo, Zé Tó, Quique Martín y Javi Acuña.

Next up for Salamanca is a home game against 14th place Cadiz on the 10 of February, You Can Read More About Pedro Here

The correct spelling is Pedro Botelho, i was more impressed with his performance against Málaga where he played as a sub. Few chances came his way including a blistering shot from 20 yards out. I was watching the HL from local TV here, But UDS was almost non existence against Sevilla At. , bad goalkeeping for first goal, and Pedro wasn’t involved in any attacking chances. The match also happens to be the debut of a 16 yrs old Lucas Trecarichi, a must watch in the future.

Thanks for that jaded. Btw, is Pedro fast, or does he simply rely on speed and grace?
