Welcome to Young Guns reports of the Saturday’s matches for three of our seven young players currently out on loan.

Saturday’s Results.
Jay Simpson – Millwall 3-0 Port Vale
Jay Simpson started as Millwall played on bottom side Port Vale, in a good old fashioned relegation dogfight, Jay’s strike-partner Lewis Grabban put the home side ahead on 18 minutes, before Marc Laid doubled the lead just before half time.
In the second half, the defeat was compounded with David Martin’s goal on 68 minutes. shortly after Jay was subbed off.

Mark Randall – Plymouth 3-1 Burnley
Mark Randall started from the bench as Play off chasing Burnley take on the side just one place ahead of them in the table, Plymouth, an entertaining first half started with French midfield Lillan Nalis slotting home on 12 minutes, but James O’Connor equalised 6 minutes later, before Hungarian wing wizard Peter Halmosi fired home just after the half hour mark.
Halmosi scored again in the second half, to complete a comprehensive defeat.
Mark was introduced on 86 minutes for Chris McCann.
Kieran Gibbs started as Norwich City played Liverpool’s FA Cup victim’s Barnsley with with both sides trying to keep alive their small chances of making the playoffs, veteran striker Jamie Cureton put the Canneries ahead on 26 minutes.
Kieran went on to complete the full 90 minutes.
Sunday’s Fixtures
Fran Merida Perez – Elche V Real Sociedad
Fran has been included in Real Sociedad side to face Elche , he has yet to start since new coach, Joserra Eizmendi took over last month. Merida has also been in the papers this week after comments he made about wanting to concentrate on his loan spell, were taken out of context.
“I can’t think about returning to London, because then your head becomes a mess. We’ll see what happens later. I just want to do well with Real.”
Carlos Vela – Osasuna V Atletico Madrid
Carlos has been named in the squad to face Jose Reyes’s Atletico Madrid side, you can read a in depth match preview ahead of this game, over at Carlos Vela News.
Pedro Bothelo – Salamanca V Tenerife
14th place UD Salamanca take on 9th place Tenerife, Pedro picked up a knee injury two weeks ago, and is expected to under go a late fitness test, but the signs do not look good.
Vincent Van Den Berg – Go Ahead Eagles.
Vincent has recovered from a long-term injury, and scored his first goal for the Eagles’s Reserves in mid-week but he is not expected to be in the squad for Go Ahead Eagles fixture this weekend. [Thanks Joshua.]
