Millwall manager Kenny Jackett will hold talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger at the end of the season, in a bid to thrash out a deal for on loan striker Jay Simpson.
The striker was originally sent to the Lions with the intentions to be developed into a winger, meaning Wenger has plans for the highly rated 19 year old, but with Nacer Barazite able to cover the wing positions as well as up front, and score goals the Frenchman’s hand could be forced and a deal could be reached.
Jay scored on his debut against Swansea in the Johnson’s Paint trophy, and has become an instant fans favourite, his pace power and attacking flair have caught the eye this season, as Young Guns reported earlier in the week he picked up his second “Player Of The Month” award of the season, having previously won it in November.
“Jay is a real prospect. His confidence has grown as he’s become more effective on the right,’
‘From being in and out of the team, he is now more of a fixture and I want to get the best use out of him.’
‘Going through the middle he finds it more difficult to get in the game but that will come.
‘We haven’t spoken to Arsenal since his loan was extended in January but I will at the end of the season.’.”
Arsenal Eyeing Havant & Waterlooville Striker Ryan Gates
Arsenal have joined a three club race for 12 year-old Havant & Waterlooville striker Ryan Gates.
The free-scoring striker has 95 goals in just 40 games this season, for Havant’s Academy side, and Arsenal have already offered Gates a trial.
“I am totally gobsmacked,” Ryan’s dad Derran told The News.
“They want to come and see him and take him up there to play against either Chelsea Youth or Norwich Youth. They want to see him in action.
“We’ll see what club is best for Ryan. For this to happen to a 12-year-old, it’s brilliant.”
But Ryan’s Dad admitted Reading are currently favourite’s to land him, after making first contact
“At the moment we are primarily looking at Reading as a number-one choice,” he said.
“I have asked to go and see the facilities of all the clubs, after which a decision will be made.
“We have no problem with any of the sides and whoever have the best facilities are the club we will go with.
“Travelling is not an issue for us as we are happy to take him wherever he needs to go.”
However if its facilities that will attract him, Arsenal first class Hale End system could give the Gunners the edge. – Skysports

Hey you guys, could someone post ta picture of this 12 yr old kid. I need to see it and pass some judgemnt that suits only me. That you so much for keeping me updated with this kind of information, and am looking forward to having a glimpse of the kid.
I do not have a picture of him mate.
and even if i did, i would not post it up, the boy is just 12 years old, there is laws about posting pictures of kids on the internet.
If jay goes thats a real shame because he has real talent.
We need wingers but i dont know about Barazite playing on wing he seems abit slow
Just becasue Millwall want to keep Simpson it does not necessarily mean Arsene will let him go. Barazite looks promising, but he still seems quite young and slight. I not sure I see him joining the first team yet. Whether Simpson wants to come back and compete for a place at Arsenal will also be important. I know Arsene hopes some of the young English players make it into the first team, so it will be interesting to see whether Simpson can become the first of them to do so.
I personally do not think that Jay Simpson is good enough to make as a striker at Arsenel, P.S and one more thing the only English striker who is at Arsenal who i think can make it there is Rhys Murphy IMO
Jay Is a top talent but at 19 he is a year younger than Fabregas, and look at how different they are in devlopment terms.

Thats a good point about different players having different devlopment but jay wont be a striker he’l be a winger but it shows that wenger does make good english players.
I dont rate rhys murphy can’t see him making at arsenal
Players should not be compared to Fabregas – he is a one off. Look at Flamini, he’s been with Arsenal for many years and has only established himself as a regular first teamer at the age of 23 (24 today)
I agree with Passenal. It’s dangerous to compare anybody to Fabregas. Even if they are not half as good as him, they still can be a top class players.
When Fabregas was the same age as Sunu, he started all of the Carling Cup games.
When he was the same age as Merida and Barazite, he played over 40 first team games.
When he was the same age as Traore, Vela and Walcott, he humiliated Juventus and was already one of Arsenal’s best player.
Fabregas and Messi are unique. I try not to compare anybody to them, that is simply unfair.
