I was at this match and the game v. Japan on Wednesday and he was (IMO) the best player in both. Excellent goal, blasting a volley in through a crowd of players from outside the box after a corner was partly cleared by the German defence.

Error in the above article – England lost in the final last year to Germany so this was good revenge (albeit with a different team).

France are already through to the final on Easter Monday and England are now very handily placed to join them.

Nice to see some English talent coming through and it looks as if Arsenal are the main culprits for that in the youth system at the moment. ;)

I am sorry but I have to agree with the majority that were in france and in all the french newspapers Keanu Marsh-Brown was voted the Man of the Match in the hardest game England played in the whole tournament. He had to deal with as far as the Germans were concerned their best player and he did with complete composure, strength and at times pure elegence. They put him right-mid and he was excellent going forward, he started the move that resulted in emmanuels goal. The end result was all clear for evryone to see ALL the Officials Awarded him “THE BEST ENGLAND PLAYEER TROPHEY.” WELL DONE LAD..
IMO the best players on the pitch were: MARSH-BROWN; FRIMPONG; BAXTER; FRYERS; MENDEZ. Hopefully they keep these boys together and build round them. They are MUST together.
Now Sam Byles. I’m sorry to say you are out of your depth. You have played several games now and the only thing you are consistent in is making far to many mistakes. Your not a bad player, but Marsh-Brown is a league above you. I am beginning to beleive what people are saying that you are only there because of the club you play for NOT ON MERIT. AND THATS SAD.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO HAVE A WORD WITH NOEL BLAKE ABOUT HIS SELECTION AT TIMES. IMO I THINK THEY MISSED KENNY SWAIN.
