On loan Arsenal Reserves forward Jay Simpson has won the League One player of the month award for February for the second time in four months, Simpson also picked up the award back in November but this time around it came as more of a surprise despite starting in all of Millwall’s games during the month.

Emmanuel Adebayor won the Premiership Player Of The Month award, and former Arsenal forward Paul Dickov picked up the Championship accolade, after getting in the goals for Blackpool since joining on loan from Manchester City.

Jay is in action on Friday night as Millwall travel to Wales to play Swansea, Young Guns will of course be keeping you up to date with how he performs in this game like we do with all our loanees, you can catch up on any reports you may have missed, or read scouting reports on certain players in our Loan Players area.

Thank you Danny, and maybe he should come back with the striker situation, but at Millwall he is a regular so should really stay.

Jay has been phenomenal throughout February though has taken a dip in recent games.
He’s oozing confidence at this level now but I think he needs a season in the championship before you could really consider him competing at Arsenal.

What truth is there that Arsene sent him to the Den to become a winger?! He naturally is a goalscoring centre forward but Millwall tend to play him out wide when they can.
