Mark Randall – Burnley 1-0 Charlton Athletic
Mark Randall fell victim to manager Owen Coyle rotation system, as he was dropped to the bench despite a hugely impressive performance on Saturday, his first start for The Clarets.
And the home-side were in total control, but failed to turn their dominance into a goal, and could have been behind when Leroy Lita got away from the defence but failed to convert.
Into the second period former Burnley striker Andy Gray looked certain to score until great work from Clarke Carlisle managed to get it away.
Robbie Blake then got away down the wing, and played the ball in to the path of Wade Elliott, who twisted, turned and smashed Burnley in front, a sensational strike, but against the run of play.
But Charlton nearly got level, when Jerome Thomas found himself in space, before Carlisle closed the door with a superb tackle.
Mark Randall was introduced on 87 minutes for Robbie Blake.
Kieran Gibbs – Norwich City 0-1 Stoke City
Despite having two players sent off on Saturday, Kieran Gibbs was again left on the substitutes bench as Norwich took on promotion chasing Stoke City.
Glenn Roeder handed starts to Alex Pearce, Matthew Pattison and Jamie Cureton and the latter had the best chance of a cagey first half.
But in the second half there would be a break through, Delap’s long throw found Mamady Sidibe who flicked it above Marshall and into the net to give the visitors the lead on 58 minutes.
Norwich responded quickly, Ched Evans came on, and the Manchester City loanee created some excellent openings, and had a bullet header well saved after good work from Lee Croft on the wing.
But it finished 1-0 a disappointing result for Norwich, in an entertaining match
Kieran Gibbs Was An Unused Substitute
Jay Simpson – Yeovil Town 0-1 Millwall
Jay Simpson again started on the right of midfield, looking to build on his match winner last Friday against Swansea, as Millwall took on Yeovil Town.
Kenny Jackett named Gary Alexander and in form Lewis Grabban up front, the game started in a sloppy manner with little chances for either side, former Gunners winger Ryan Smith same on at half time for Alan Dunne in a bid to get a goal.
But new signing Bas Savage crashed home his debut goal for Millwall with 20 minutes left, a fantastic strike, and one that would prove decisive.
Jay Simpson Played The Full 90 Minutes.

Does this mean that Jay Simpson is by far the better of the 3 if he’s the only one who seems to be getting playing time??
Millwall are in a lower league than both Burnley and Norwich, so it depends, plus Jay has been there all season.
Randall & Gibbs are playing at a higher level.
Plus, I think Gibbs has had a load of stick from Norwich fans- the ungrateful twats.
article coming tomorrow om Norwich fucking city, and there fans, total cunts
they should be happy that wenger let them have gibbs because he knew we was abit short of numbers in the squad, cunts
feel sorry for randall everytime he plays well he’s back on the bench for the next game how is he going to develop his career
How did Vela performed over the weekend? Of all the players out on loan, he is the one with the biggest potential.
I am surprised Wenger has not taken Gibbs away from Norwich. His confidence must be very low
Randall seems a bit more settled, however he could be playing more football ar Arsenal in the reserves and U18.
It goes to show the gap between the reserves and the Championship.
Simpson will probably be available to leave, whilst he has done well for Millwall, he has never featured for an England U18 or U19 squad and there must be better players out there.
Here we go again- why the hatred towards Norwich? Im an Arsenal season ticket holder from Norwich and I don’t know where you get off on going on and on about their terrible fans/media/manager etc. Gibbs is not a physical player- Stoke are a VERY physical team, so it makes absolutely no sense to play him in the middle and let him get torn to shreds, when you can stick someone in there who can kick Stoke back. It’s true that Norwich are known for trying to play passing football, but so are we- what happens when we don’t beat Bolton/Blackburn etc? we tend to blame them for being overly physical. Surely it makes sense for a team like Norwich to toughen up in these games so they don’t have to make excuses about being outpowered in the midfield?
All the Norwich fans I know are extremely grateful for Arsene letting them have Gibbs- but by all accounts he hasn’t really played that well on the rare occasion he’s been given the opportunity.
Your site is absolute quality, but the Norwich thing is beginning to get past a joke now- they are only really a pretty harmless small club in a small city plodding along in the Championship, so calm down!
Yeah can’t wait for vela to come back but i dont no i think simpson will come back and prove he’s a good player
We are all angry with Norwich, because day after day, all we get is abuse towards Gibbs comeing from there forums.
