Rowley Shows Dentinho Around The Emirates?

Its been something which has appeared on various Arsenal forums and websites in recent weeks, that Chief scout Steve Rowley was seen towards the end of last month showing a young player around the Emirates Stadium with reports claiming it was Brazilian striker Dentinho, the article first appeared on the players own wikipedia page, but with no obvious link it was dismissed before, a fan confirmed the story on the popular forum Vital Arsenal, make of that what you will.

The 19 year old has been subject of Arsenal’s scouts in recent months, with the Corinthians star claiming the Gunners made an offer for his services last year, but the Brazilian outfit rejected the offer

“Arsenal made a proposal but Corinthians did not agree for them to negotiate. I was not bothered, I think that my moment is going to arrive” Dentinho said to Globesport.com.

The proposal was for 3m pounds plus a profit from a possible future transfer.

“I have the will to play in Europe, certainly. I am still young and have still a lot to achieve here with Corinthians. I have not even won any trophies yet”

Arsenal’s offer was a reported £3 million pounds, plus any sell on fee for the talented forward, who has already been compared to former skipper Thierry Henry, for his blistering pace and power, in which has seen him bag 8 goals in just 32 appearances.

You always wonder about South Americans in the Premiership though, don’t you? Denilson was a revelation last season but has regressed somewhat this, and there are countless examples of big Latin American stars who found the Prem tough going. Hope we sign him though, and he makes it.

Both are suggested but Ignasi seems to be the more likely.

I personally do not think that 8 goals in 32 games is that good for a striker IMO
