Afobe & Deacon Goals See Arsenal's Under 16s Win

Benik Afobe continued his fantastic goal scoring form this season, by getting on the score-sheet again as Arsenal’s Under 16s ran out 3-0 winners against Bristol City Under 16s, yesterday morning.

However Afobe was not the main man in this game, that would go to Winger Roarie Deacon as he helped himself to two goals as Steve Gatting’s boys put the disappointment of the Nike Cup out of their system and picked up an impressive win.

Gatting was able to switch his side again, after using some of the Under 14s and 15s players at the Nike Cup, not only did the side now look fresher, but had overall more quality and experience.

After firstly good work from Benik Afobe he then played Deacon in, and the winger who will gain Scholarship terms in the summer slotted beyond the Bristol keeper to give Arsenal an encouraging lead, then Afobe got himself some of the action, where after he rolled two defenders his right footed effort found the net and it seemed the Young Gunners would run away with it.

There was time for Deacon to jink his way through for a second giving Arsenal a comfortable and impressive win.

I heard Mauro Zarate will arrive in the summer.
My mate saw him and his agent at the executive box a couple of weeks ago.

Afobe must be close to 30 for the season by now, and they have only played about 27 games
