Arsenal's Pedro To Spend Next Season With Salamanca

Salamanca based Sports newspaper Tribuna de Salamanca, are reporting this week that Arsenal have agreed to extend the loan of Brazilian wing-back Pedro Botelho to the Spanish outfit for next season.

The same paper also states that the Gunners South American chief Richard Law flew to Spain last week to hold talks regarding the financial situation, which has reached critical and even leading to claims the club could go out of business, however this has been quashed and Law is happy with how the partnership has been progressing.

High on the list of topics though was Pedro, with Arsene Wenger requesting to be updated on his progress since finally linking up with the club in December when he turned 18, due to FIFA rules on Brazilian players playing in Europe.
After initially starting well he has found himself on the sidelines with injuries and frustrating rehab, But returned to the squad for last Saturday’s fixture against Las Palmas, the second year on loan will see Pedro gain a EU passport meaning a switch next summer to North London would be made easier.

Arsene Wenger had recently sent English tutor Peter Murphy to Spain to work with Pedro and help develop his English skills ahead of his return to Arsenal, that was also touched on, as was some of Salamanca’s young players coming to Shenley to train in the summer.

The meeting was also used as a chance to discuss arrangement’s for the summer, regarding who Arsenal will be sending on loan, Salamanca are reportedly ready to accept not just South American players, but also those from Africa and Asia, increasing the possibilities and options of Wenger’s scouting contingent.

This latest news has fueled speculation Arsenal could be ready to sign Sho Ito, the young striker spent 6 months with the Gunners on trial two seasons ago, however after having a “special talent” visa refused a deal was not reached, but Wenger was still keen and arranged him to join French side Grenoble. However with Salamanca now ready to accept Asian players Ito could be reunited with Arsenal.

Sounds gd although we will have to have many youngsters arriving each year in order for Arsenal to send them on loan to Ajax, Osasuna and Salamanca each year. As we are rumoured to be setting up partnerships wiv both Osasuna and Ajax. At least it means players wont slip through are grasp due to passport problems.

Not all the clubs we have a partnership with involve loaning players, the specific agreement with Salamanca is involving that.

Osasuna and Ajax could simple be sharing coaching methods.

the more quality players we can bring in and then send back out on loan the better. Only a small percentage of the players that Arsenal scout will be good enough to play at the very top level for Arsenal. those who do not make it can remain at the loan club like Salamanca. it works for us and for them. Even the quality players that eventually come back to Arsenal are giving their services to smaller clubs for 2 years or so and helping them move up the league. the more clubs Arsenal can work with the better because then Arsenal can bring more players to europe but take fewer risks. I think Platini was hoping to rule these agreements as illegal but i cant see how he’d do it.

Eboue must have some secret files involving some bad stuff about Wenger. Or that is the only reason I can think of why he is still in this team.

but this pedro thing looks good. I was expecting him this summer but this must work out pretty good. Ashley Cole was on loan till he was like 20 and that turned out pretty good (I hope they don’t turn into cunts from loans)
