Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed 16 year old wonder kid Jack Wilshere will be apart of his first team next season, and will also feature during the Carling Cup.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Daily Mirror, Wenger also confirmed Mark Randall, Henri Lansbury and last night’s hero Kieran Gibbs would also be promoted. However he held special praise for Wilshere.
“The next generation is (Henri) Lansbury, (Kieran) Gibbs, (Mark) Randall, Jack Wilshere. I don’t think he (Wilshere) will stay a long time in the Reserves.”
Wenger watched on two weeks ago as Jack Wilshere scored a goal, and made a goal. Young Guns talked about the decision the boss faced on promoting him, or leaving him to develop in the Reserves. It seems Arsene believes enough in Jack to be willing to call on his services for next season.
Wilshere will not be involved in the remaining Premiership fixtures, after he flew out to Italy this morning to take part in the Atalanta Cup. This latest news adds to a superb year for Jack that started with him playing for the Under 16s and will finish with him being promoted to the first team.
News Round Up
In other news Kieran Gibbs is delighted with his goal last night, and thanks Norwich for his time spent on loan. But he would like to spend the first half of next season on loan to really gain the maximum experience possible.
Sticking with Loanees Jay Simpson’s 8 goals and many assists, have earned him the PFA League 1 player of the year award. A fantastic achievement for Jay who will return to Arsenal on the 3rd of May, and it now leaves Wenger with a dilemma over his future.
Neil Banfield spoke to Arsenal.com after last nights 1-1 draw with Villa, and was overall positive with the season and players. He spoke about Jack Wilshere and was keen to play down the hype, he also sort of admitted that some of his players will not make it here, but could at other clubs.

Good to hear young jack will get his chance next season. I can’t wait to see him in the Carling Cup. If he can do anything like he did in the match against West Ham reserves he’ll be incredible!
Good for Jack but well done to Jay Simpson he’s improved alot this season I think he’s got a chance at arsenal if he shows that he can make it a top level.Really hope Mark Randall stays such a talent.
Send Simpson on load to a championship club and see what he can do there first
Good post JS
so do you think AW should keep Jay Simpson and have him as a striker/winger for next year or do you think we should let him go?
Simpson is already 19.
There is only so long you can loan somebody, i think he will be sold in the summer, but thats just my view.
No point putting him on loan in the championship dont make sense.
Premiership seems better idea but if goes then he goes but I think he would do well on the right wing he’s got alot tricks.
can anyone tell me what wenger going to with jay simpson?
I would bring him back, run the rule over him in pre-season and give him a run out.
If it doesnt work out, then sell him in January.
Yeah I agree see what he can do in pre season and if he’s not doing nothing by january then sell him.I just want to know what wenger going to do with Mark Randall.
Its all up in the air at the moment, i think he should move on with Merida coming back.
No end of clubs will want him,,because he is a super prospect.
Thats true but we want many pleyers here fighting for first team so that the squad can get bigger.
jack wilshere what a amazing player.. the new hlep.. i seen him yesterday on the villa park and he perform very very well and i think he willing to the first team
Arsene said that the next generation will be Gibbs Lansbury Randall wand Wilshere. Does this mean Barazite Meirda and Nordtvei wont be added ot the first team squad? Or will osme be going on loan.
He was asked about specific English players i think

So where does Wenger confirm that he will be part of the first team next season?
It just goes to show that if you are a good enough football player Arsene Wenger will give you a chance to prove yourself in the first team. Also the last time he fast tracked a 16 year old kid to the first team squad this quickly was Francesc Fabregas i think, so that means that Arsene Wenger must really really really rate Jack Wilshere if he wants him in and around the first team next season
If you play in the CC, you have to have a first team squad number (and train with the rest of the first team), ergo you will be part of the first-team set up.
JAI SHREE GANESH
I hear from inside source that other clubs are sniffing around Jack.W. As he’s not signed a pro deal with us yet, and he and his dad are rank West Ham, So we need to sign him up quick be cause if west ham made a large money offer more than what we do he may well be off.
Get him signed quick
AFC
Good for Jack ,what about Benik Afobe hw is he doing
He can’t sign until he’s 17 anyway and that’ll be on 1st January of next year. Why would he want to leave Arsenal for West Ham anyway, even if he is a fan, let’s be serious, he’ll get chances at both clubs with more chance of success at Arsenal.
Also, a club insider, mind telling me what position s/he has at the club?
My rule is never to believe anything in the paper unless you know what the question was. He was probably just talking about good English players they have at the club. I hope that Wilshere can be a part of the CC squad next season. Lansbury should be a part of the first team if he can stay away from injuries and Glandular Fever.
this guy is going to be a sensation,

to answer the earlier question about.. where does he say he will be in the first team..
Wenger said. before that Gibbs, Lansbury would be in the squad, to Arsenal.com, and said before that its time for the next generation. and those were the players he talked about as the next generation.
Also sayying he wont be in the Reserves for long is another inidication.
Seeing how many english players he named, does this mean our academy really improved?
How come these guys all look kind of similar — Wilshire, Rooney, Gerard, Owen… well maybe less so Owen…!

I know you shouldn’t get that excited with young prospects but Wilshire is coming through so fast.

I think Jay should stay. He’s a local lad and I don’t think any of our reserves who went out on loan actually ever got voted player of the year in any league at all. Yes, league one but the boy must have something.
Hope he gets a fair chance next season, been too long since there’s been a GOOD local lad in the team.
Are Barazite and Merida also gonna be in the first team next season?
And will Nordveit be in the CC squad next season??
to matt
probably.. wenger was only talking about english players because everyone says we do not have enough of them!
i love Wenger way to invest in young player
ya, to have these young talents/superkids are really exciting,
but our squad need some experienced players though…
if Wilshere can be another “Fabregas”, is really interesting…
maybe a song for him will be
“He is only 17, he is beetter than Ryan Giggs”
For some reason my browser doesn?t display this page correctly? Anyway, it was a genuinely interesting post, preserve up the fantastic operate and i will be again for a lot more
