Jay Simpson will report to London Shenley for training tomorrow morning, following the completion of his loan spell at League one side Millwall.
Having scored in his final home game as a Lions player, the League One Player Of The Year travelled to Swindon knowing his side were safe from relegation, and could enjoy the final game of the campaign.
Jay started wide on the right, but knew he would have the licence to get forward and assists strikers Bas Savage and Neil Harris. Millwall made the perfect start when defender Danny Senda bagged his first goal for the club, after turning home Jem Karacan’s corner.
But with half an hour gone, Swindow were handed the chance to half the deficit from 12 yards after a foul in the area. Simon Cox stepped up and converted to level the scores at 1-1, setting up an interesting and entertaining second period.
The home side would then completed the come back, as Anthony Mcnamee fired home with 40 minutes left on the clock. Lions boss Kenny Jackett then switched the side around, bringing former Gunner Ryan Smith on for Savage meaning Simpson would now be employed up front to try and rescue a point.
However it was not enough, and Millwall slumped to defeat a disappointing way for Simpson to finish his loan spell, but no doubt his 8 goals will be vital.

Well Jay had a great season because when he started he found it tough but he stuck at it and proved he’s a good player so well done to him.
do you guys reckon Jay could get a chance against Sunderland?
If he impresses in the friendly, he should feature yes.
Do you know by any chance if either Kieran Gibbs or Nacer are likely to be in the team at least on the bench tomorrow?
They are not, because of the Reserves friendly on Tuesday, they may feature against Sunderland.
Oh ok thanks for letting me now thats abit of a let down though as looking forward to seeing Kieran play 2moz. Can i ask how you get your info on who wil play and who wont i assume u have contacts at the club? and if you cant say how fair dos.
Of course when you run a website, its important you have sources and contacts to help you.
But also common sense, and knowledge of people helps too.
Who are the reserves playing in a friendly Sanderson?
I do not know yet, Mannone could be suspended.
but expect something like this,.
Mannone
Gilbert – Rodgers – Thomas – Steer
Ogogo – Dunne – Gibbs – Traore
Simpson – Barazite/Fonte
Nice one Sanderson..do u think Rui Fonte could be released this summer? I’m a mate of his and i really hope he stays and makes it at Arsenal, despite it seeming unlikely
i would expect he should go on loan, if he flops on loan which i expect he would, he will be released.
fair enough, wish the best for him anyway! nice lad
sanderson, can i ask if its really confirmed by a reliable source that pedro is our player?thanks…
choos, he was with us in pre-season at the emirates stadium training, there are pictures on the net to prove this, i have also spoken to him and he confirmed he is contracted to arsenal
Yes he is our player, i find it unlikley you spoke to him Deepak? when was this
im chAos, but still thanks…but wenger has never spoken about him, has he?
Not yet, but he did not speak of Vela until the end of last season.. wait and see mate.
Salamanca have confirmed it on there official website.
Sanderson, it was on myspace, i messaged him last summer after i saw his profile on the friend list of many arsenal players
i also speak to Carlos Vela quite frequently and he said he would appreciate it if i helped him settle in when he comes over
Jay will give Wenger more options next season but I would advice him not to rush him into the first team , he can play and mature in the fa cup and the carling cup..I m sure he has a future but we must be cautious…any soccer lover who will like to interact with other fans and dicuss any soccer related issues should check out Soccer fan base dot com it is free to join.
Ohh, all these “I’ve spoken to player X!” and “My source says” etc., you just gadda love it. Nat.
ok, you conviced me:)
Off-topic:any news about Atalanta Cup?
Go on Jay!! Score in the friendly and then replace Eboue against Sunderland!! :-)

immediatly
is there any new news about Italian tournament ??
when it will start ?
thanks alot
Does anyone think Jay will make it. I’m not so sure. He is very strong and quick but lacks a trick or two for me.
actually he is trickerish.. he has showned it in both millwall and at the reserves..
GIBBS BENCHED FOR EVERTON GAME.
Was just going to say that Gooner Chris, glad 2 c he is hopefully he’ll get a good half an hour. Gibbs on Eboue off lol.
lmao.
I wish Wenger would start with him, much better option than Eboue.
Gibbs on the bench tooday
Look at my post on the U-17 Championships on TGF
Gibbs on left, Theo on right! Dream team :D
I knew Traore would get the chance on the left rather then gibbs but nice cross from him for the goal
He’s got to be better than Eboue
Yeah Troare was great when he came on he had pace and caused problems. Eboue also played alot better when he was moved to his proper position of RB.
WHO ARE THE RESERVES PLAYING ON TUESDAY
