Wise Words For Ramsey + Under 18 Fixtures Out

Cardiff City vice-captain Riccardo Scimeca has urged new Arsenal signing Aaron Ramsey to be patient in the Premier League, and warned of the pressures and expectancy of performing in one of the greatest competitions in the world.

Scimeca enjoyed two seasons playing with the Welsh international, before Ramsey’s £5 million switch to the Gunners last month, and has first hand experience of the Premiership after playing most of his career in the top flight.

“Aaron will soon find that every pass he delivers will have to near perfect,”

“At the start, Aaron will find that he will have more time than usual, but he will have to do more with the pass that he delivers.” “One bad pass and the quality of play at that level can see you a goal down in seconds.”

The 33 year old also spoke about the huge differences ‘Rambo’ will face after making the transition from the Championship.

“Compared to the Championship, which seems to be 100 miles per hour, you get time on the ball in the Premier League.

“Once Aaron gets used to that difference he will settle down and improve to become an even better player than he is now. “He might have to be a bit patient to break through, but there is no doubt that he has got a special talent.”

Riccardo was then asked if he felt moving to Arsenal was the best option, as many believed he would be ending up with Sir Alex Ferguson at Man Utd. Like most who have had this question put to them, the answer was an empathetic yes.

“Personally I think he’s gone to the best club for his type of football – and that is a passing game,”

“Arsenal, in my opinion, are probably the best passing side and I definitely think Aaron has decided on the right team. “Timing is everything with the younger element and Arsenal will watch his every step.”

In other news, the full list of Under 18 Academy League fixtures have been published. Many of the participants will be Aaron’s age, but Ramsey himself is set for a first team role.

Steve Bould starts the defence of the group A title against Everton on August 23rd, before an away trip against newly promoted Wolves. You can see a full list of all the fixtures Here.

Very intelligent and very honest as well. He does not talk him up or anything, tell life in the Premiership how it is.

Just exciting now to watch him make his debut!

Ramsey will still play quite a bit for the reserves ala Denilson when he came though, yes? With our first xviii fit, he’s not gonna have a releastic chance of playing (bar cc games), so while he won’t play for the u18’s, he will still be playing reserve football.

Ramsey isn’t going to make his debut for a while yet J! Well, unless something terrible happens. I guess it won’t be long for the Carling Cup… Walcott didn’t even play once in his first season (well, half a season)! Although I guess the 7 subs thing means he might be within a chance.

I would expect him to start the season around the first team, and Carling Cup football as that runs right through to January (if we are still in it)

Then he might go on loan for 3 months, or finish the season in the Reserves team. Either way its all part of the learning curve.

I’m talking about the Barnet friendly mate, i would expect him to feature alot over pre-season as most of the first team boys get rested.

Giving him 16 is a real compliment of how high the club rate him.

    Sorry, forgot the friendlies.
16 means he is very important to the future, just i don’t think he will be involved in next season at all, bar the odd sub/cc appearance.

I also don’t see this Cesc partner thing. It’s like a young and talented version of Gerrard-Lampard. Or Cesc-Xavi. But then add in our 400 other talented cm’s and while it might be a long term option, it doesn’t seem likely unless Cesc starts to emulate Guardiola properly.

Ramsey has been compared to Gerrard, true, however, he may develop into a wide player or perhaps a more defensive minded CM.

But that won’t be for a while yet and it is a nice headache for We3nger to have.

I deffinately dont see Ramsey being bought to play in defence. He might play the odd game at say left back if we need him to but i dnt think hes been bought for his defending as his attacking insticts and passing would be wasted in the defence.

Isn’t it absurd to think in 2 years time we will have such a midfield? Cesc, Diaby, Denilson, Nasri, Traore, Lansbury, Merida, Coquelin, Ramsey, possibly Gibbs, Randall and Rosicky (and a Flamini replacement). And Vela and Theo sometimes. And other possible signings. And the next batch of kids in the CC. It looks like it could be an embarrasment of riches. And one hell of a migrain for AW when he picks the team on a Friday evening.

Does anyone not think it is strange that there has been no comment on Arsenal.com regarding the Adebayor situation? Usually, if they want to dispel transfer rumours about a player, they usually sort out an official interview with them or Arsene. I think the fact that they have not done this shows there is more uncertainty than both parties want to admit. Ditto the Hleb saga.

arsenal.com never comments on speculation. As the official voice of the club, I am glad it doesn’t! We could end up looking as stupid as Aaron Ramsey’s current club Manchester Utd! Oh wait…

AW has said that Ade will be here next season. Ade said he wants to stay and that he wants to sit down with the manager (presumably about a payrise) but he has no weight to the argument, the webster clause and such doesn’t apply to him yet. He is an Arsenal player until his contract runs out or AW decides to sell him, not till his agent acts like a spoilt cunt.

There are some problems with Nasri’s replacement, Hatem Ben Arfa.
The OL doesn’t want to leave him to OM. But if we have a pre-agreement with Nasri and the OM then we are not in trouble.

This doesn’t matter. Believe it or not, AW can be ruffless when it comes to big clubs wanting our stars (remember Paddy and TH every year?). If he is to go, and AW said last night that he won’t sell him (albeit before these crazy comments (although from the same paper that made up Martin Taylor quotes and Paddy ones about going to Real a couple years back)), it will be for a ridiculous figure like Anelka or Overmars went for. A kind of ‘lol, even if he turns out good, there is no way he turns out that good and we’ve just robbed you blind AGAIN’ type money.

    Bischoff towards Arsenal

The medium ground of Werder of Bremen (Bundesliga), Amaury Bischoff, 21 years, will begin with Gunners d’ Arsenal (First League) in the days which come. A new stage in the career of old the colmarien and of Strasbourg.
Already contacted six months ago per Arsenal, Amaury Bischoff decided to pass the course. It will not be any more in Bremen the next year. Colmarien goes as of today to London where it will meet the leaders of Gunners.

“There remain still some details to be finalized. And then one awaits especially the return of Arsène Wenger who is in Vienna for the final of the Euro, entrusts Bischoff. But I hope to sign in the next days.”

The sporting challenge which awaits it is more than consequent. “Arsenal, it is still a notch above. Enormous… As I return from one long period without playing, I think of evolving/moving with the reserve time to find feelings. And afterwards, it is with me to make me my place… The advantage in England, it is that there is many matches.”

From its three seasons spent to Werder (it joined Bremen in 2005), Bischoff will have almost only good memories, even if the wounds regularly held it drawn aside of the grounds (*).
“Without my pubalgie I would have played much more, because I had the confidence of staff (Thomas Schaaf and Klaus Allofs). But I nevertheless made 10 or 15 benches of keys in Bundesliga and I involved myself with players like Diego, Micoud, Frings or Klasnic. That enormously made me progress.”

More still than the level of play of the players, it is that of the infrastructures which impressed the Alsatian one. “That does not have absolutely anything to see with what one can find in France.”

At the point not to think to return to play in the Hexagon. “For the moment, my career, it is abroad that occurs. When one plays in stages which are always full and which one involves in front of 5 000 people, they is nevertheless fabulous…”

Retained in -18 years with the team of France and in -21 years with Portugal (country of origin of his/her mother), Amaury also chose its national team: it will be the latter.

And Bischoff to project itself until October 14: this day, the Portuguese hopes will dispute a decisive match before the Euro 2009. It will be in Wembley vis-a-vis in England…[/quote]

It has quotes from Bischoff, so I think there’s something to it.
