German outfit SV Werder Bremen have confirmed this morning that they have released midfielder Amaury Bischoff, ahead of his proposed free transfer to Arsenal.
The 21 year old Portugal Under 20 International spent last week in talks with Gunners officials, and is expected to put pen-to-paper with the Gunners in the next hours.
Speaking with Bremen’s official website, Bischoff issued the following statement
“Bremen was superb, but Arsenal is a huge opportunity for me,”
“Wenger has known me since my time at Strasbourg and believes in my quality. He trusts me to be in the first team.
“Wenger has not put me under any pressure. He said, ‘Take all the time you need’.”
Werder’s Managing Director Klaus-Dieter Fischer also spoke about Amaury’s departure, and whilst the club are disappointed to lose a top talent, they accept his choice to move to London
“We would be very happy to keep Amaury. But he has decided to set up to a new challenge. We wish him well and thank him for the past three years,”
Bischoffjoined from Racing Strasbourg in 2005, but a series of thigh injuries has hampered his progress, limiting him to just a handful of substitute appearances. During the three season spent in Germany, he played 62 games for Bremen Reserves, scoring on 6 occasions.
He has recently recovered from more thigh problems, and admits he is aiming to play for the Reserves to build up his fitness, before mounting a serious challenge on the first team.
“I have only just come back from a long spell out injured, so I expect to play in the reserves to get my form back, “
Amaury is a central midfielder by trade, who can also play on the right hand side. Read more on him in our exclusive fan interview Here.

Well, slowly I start to lose my faith about Nasri.
I don’t know why can’t the Arsenal or the OM or Nasri announce a **** news, which inform us that the recently informations.
Now, okay, we are talking about the dates. but it’s all gossips, and I hate the gossips…
We are waiting for him all days, and after we are disappointed that “it was an another day.”
Shall we write an online petition about Nasri? :DDDD
Have we signed Biscoff yet???
gawd, howe long do we have to wait till we sign our new indestructable, never injured world class player on a free?
…just Nasri with an ice cream…guess where????
I am sure in 99%, that Nasri’s arrival depends on Ben Arfa. If he won’t join to OM, Nasri won’t join to us.

ben arfa ..nasri … typical arsenal
omg i got a light feeling now that nasri wont join, and i got a feeling that wenger has turned his back on bischoff, things are looking bad. very bad. FFS
Atilla, Ben Arfa has signed for OM with Nasris number.. check theie website
I have new info from togo claiming the deparute of adebayor to barcelona .. deal to be announced tomorrow at 17.00.
Joshwaaaa! The court will decide today about Ben Arfa’s sitation. He hasn’t been an OM-player yet!
Yep its true, Ben Arfa was training with Marseille today. Been announced, pictures, everything.
Ben Afra’s signed for OM and been given Nasri’s number 22. I’m pretty sure hes ours then, just waiting for the announcement.
The only reason that Lyon didnt want Ben Arfa to join OM is becasue they cant pay the transfer fee. It’s now July and they will be able to once we complete the Nasri’s deal.
He wouldnt have announced that he had signed on his own website if it wasnt true.
And it never said that there would be a interwiew on the first, it said early July, not the first. I dont know why we doubting it.
New post, keep up!
adebayor is going beleive me …i see js has done an article on
arsenals new young proffessionals ..but refuses to explain
why nasri has not signed,,,are u embarrassed
Ce soir, à partir de 18h00, la Commission juridique de la Ligue se réunit afin de statuer sur le litige opposant les différentes parties de ce dossier. L’OM sera représenté par Pape Diouf et Julien Fournier (dir. Administratif). Hatem Ben Arfa sera également présent.

Tonight, from 18.00, the Legal Committee of the League will meet to rule on the dispute between the various parties to this case. The OM will be represented by Pape Diouf and Julien Fournier (dir. Administrative). Hatem Ben Arfa will also be present.
(from to offical website of OM)
The deal for Nasri was set to be announced today, along with the Ben Arfa to Marseille deal.
Marseille had agreed a deal for Ben Arfa last week, but Lyon refused to sign the release forms, meaning he couldnt complete the move. Ben Arfa was at Marseille training today wearing Nasri’s 22, but he is not there player yet.
The announcement of Nasri has been put back, until Lyon and Marseille can sort out the agreement for Ben Arfa, who will be his replacement.
Both chairmen have issued statements on the official websites, about the transfer. Nasri’s website had scheduled an Interview with Nasri today as he was set to be formally announced, but all this Ben Arfa stuff has put it back
More frustration. I didnt write about it, because frankly people are bored of it.
What happened to this fabled Nasri interview on his website? Fucking A, how long must this nonsense drag on?
what a joke seriousley us getting nasri should be announced the ben arfa deal is between lyon and om. its their fuck up.
J.S.! But if the official court of the Ligue 1 announces Ben Arfa’s moving to OM, then can the Arsenal announce Nasri tomorrow? (It was the origian plan)
to be honest can you ppl stop doubting j. he has worked hard to get sources for us throughout dis saga. not many other ppl would bother going through french websites to find info. he has also bin right about so many young players signing like ozyakup and ignasi miguel. this is a frustrating transfer but its not j’s fault
“More frustration. I didnt write about it, because frankly people are bored of it.”
Frustration is the word but atleast each week we seem to inch one step closer to him actually coming.
nasri interview has just began and realmadrid appear to have entered in the race to sign adebayor.
Well, to be fair, the first information was that Nasri would sign on July 2nd…So I don’t see why people are crying over it :D IF it doesn’t happen 2moro, then il be annoyed, until then, Il be patient!
Yeah, I read this on the French Eurosport website, but I am lazy to search it.
it would be brilllant if ths guy truned out 2 be the next pires and every1 who doubted him wouldn’t say a thing about these stories and i think we should trust wenger as he is rarly wrong so i want 2 be the 1st to welcome bischoff to arsenal and wish him all the success with us
If real madrid has joined in wanting Adebayor I say wait… and sell! They will probably pay up like 50 millions when they join the “war”!
gamucho – how do u no the nasri interview has just began
Finally I found the report:
http://www.myfreesport.fr/sports/football/ligue1/0/nasri-signera-arsenal-2-juillet-48135.html
Tomorrow will be an friendly match for the OM. I hope that Nasri won’t play.
The court ruled that Ben arfa is now officially a Marseille player!!!! The nasri deal HAS to be completed 2moro!
Over 300 comments??? You guyz are crazyyyyyyyy!!!!
Mr Sanderson must be very proud.
Nasri will be confirmed tomorrow i have it on good authority. Done deal. thank fuck for that.
What makes you so sure Me ?
I have a guy in France who has told me that Nasri himself has said that he would join tomorrow. simple as that. Nasri will be number 8 for the mighty gunners.
yes yes good news good newsssssssssssss..COME ON SAMIR! 08/09 season is OURS
Me,,, Wheren’t you the guy who started all the fuss about JS not being creditable on the other thread !?
Me, you said you had it on ‘good authourity; that Nasri would sign on Monday !? And you’re the one saying JS is full of bull shit
From what I have read I think we can assume that Bischoff will not be on too many fans shirts next season.
Until the lad signs I can not believe that this lad will be an Arsenal player, many of the posts above make good points about the players we already have and the youngsters coming through. I think perhaps he has been offered either a trial or a short term contract at best so we can assess if he is over his injuries or not and if he can get back to the player he was (what ever standard that was) before.
I have a contact at Marseilles and he has informed that Nasri has reported for training this morning and worn the number 22 he wore last season.
See I can make up bullshit as well. to all those know nothing clowns who claim to have contacts (JS excluded) do fucking grow up and stick to playing Championship manager on you PC.
I find it amusing that everyone is getting so upset, with any deal especially one involving the arsenal its always been a case of believe it when you see it and for anyone to believe all the bollocks they have read or heard is plain stupidity!
well js .you do look really stupid…or this whole nasri deal
is just a load of utter crap
you owe us all an apology
Believe it when you see it (Nasri signing). arsenal has a credible way of only confirming completed signings as opposed to the mancs who had announced the signing of Ramsey. Hoping for confirmation today. No point in speculating day after day.
Its clearly not aload of crap as nasri himself has commented on it,the only load of crap is the date when the deal will be officially completed!Agree with chazwazza though!

Asked about the formalization of the departure of Samir Nasri for Arsenal, the president of OM Pape Diouf said that the announcement would be made “in two days.” And to qualify: “Come on, in a few days”.
I’m shocked by the amount of negative comments about the potential signing of Amaury.
a) he is out of contract so not going to cost anything.
b) he has hardly played at all for a few years and this is a major break for him, his wages will be minimal – he won’t hold back any other signings or dent the budget available one bit.
c) Wenger pulls out the hat more rabbits than Paul Daniels ever did so don’t ever knock a cheap signing.
d There are no details of the signing, i.e clauses how many years its for, for all we know it might be an extended trial during pre-season to see if we can pick up a v useful player for sod all money..
Think before you all slag off Wenger and this *potential* deal it could turn out to be another gem, or we could let him go, either way he will cost nothing unless he turns out to be good in which case we won’t care and we will be happy.
i think he will good for us he is got a good tackle and strong but what really bothers me is rate of injuries according to reports in germany. and i also think we should let adebayor leave ,he is not the right man for arsenals type of football relating the number of passes he get to the rate he scores,he’s got no ball control ,no first touch ,can’t make a run for himself ,he can’t bring out a goal from his own individual effort ,not creative for himself and others.
I disagree with that assesment of adebayor as i think he is a good player who works hard, holds the ball up well and at times last season he looked unplayable. His individual talent is nowhere near Henry for example but then who’s is,but his team play is better!Saying that I do think that we should let him go as he thinks he is better than what he is and we dont need an ego like that.Any player who’s heart isnt at arsenal can go no matter how good they are.It would be good business if we sold him for 30m and got santa cruz for 15m and spent the remaining money on another addition.
hhahahah im the latest person to comment.
