It is a shame that Danny Welbeck has had to pull out because he is one of Englands best football players in that England U19’s squad, anyway come on bouys go out there and do the nation proud and bring back the trophy IMO

    No problems, JS.

The games are kicking off an hour earlier than announced on the UEFA website btw, them times are CET. I’ll change all the times you’ve written down JS to avoid confusion.

I just realised myself, the England game is kicking off @ 16:30 and the Spain game at 18:30.

Sound, cheers…looks like you’ve got to pay a sub for a month. It’s nothing just a couple of quid but when you already pay circa £60 pm for Sky, I think I’ll wait for a report on Gibbs and catch Fran when I get in. Thanks all the same and keep up the good work.

What a poor English side… They lack in technique and real football quality. These guys are all big, athletic and hard working players but that’s not what it’s about. You will see the difference when spain plays later on… Look at the difference in technique, passing. Kieran Gibbs look good though but he can’t be dangerous from the position he played. Bertrand, Sinclar can’t even pass their opponents.

By the way it’s better that Arsenal players like Randall and Wilshire aren’t selected for this England side. It’s better for them to stay at Arsenal and develop themselfs with the first team

I only caught half of the second half, but Gibbs was noticeably better on the ball than his team mates. I can’t see this England team getting very far in this competition unfortunately.

I thought I might’ve gave England bad luck because as soon as the video started, the corner swung in and goal lol. Then after I read the comments they just weren’t playing well. I saw Gibbs a few times,he did honestly look like the best England player and I’m definitely not being biased! What exactly happened with the English keeper for the first goal?

The ball was played long and it was bouncing, he came out to claim it and realised he couldn’t use his hands because it was just outside the area and he just left it, the Czech striker came in and put it in an empty net.

England were not as bad as people are saying.
Two poor errors cost them the game.

England also missed their best player as Neil Warnock was moaning and didn’t want him playing all the games.

Sturridge looked good on the ball but the game was lost in midfield Gibbs, Rose, Sinclair and Gosling.
People saying Gibbs was good are being biased he was decent at times but that was it.

If Gibbs was rubbish then the rest of the squad must’ve been complete shit! From what I saw, only person that impressed me was #8 then when the camera zoomed in I realised it was Gibbs! I dunno what happened in the first half but most of the team looked poor!

I didn’t see the whole game so I only commented on what I saw, but it seems like the England team did not really gel as a unit, which suggests poor selection and team tactics. The couple of times I saw Gibbs on the ball, he did well retaining possession and driving into the box. If the whole team is not working well, it seems unfair to slate one player.

The Czechs seemed better organised and were fortunate thanks to a goal-keeping error and poor defending from the corner but they were able to take advantage of those opportunities. England were definitely missing a creative ‘spark’ today.

I think for the amount of time had the ball, he did just above okay, he wasnt composed enough in the 1st half but go better in the second half but other are just so wasteful because their decision making is just so poor like dribbling into blind alley instead of playing a 1 2/ trying to do it all by yourself.

    Passenal I agree with that.
The team selection was poor and Victor Moses really should have started.
The team were really lacking in central midfield.
Maybe Lansbury could have gone but he has been injured most of the season.

The Czech’s reminded me of an English team in ways.
Alot of long balls and long throw tactics.

    Very true Jimmy about Gibbs.
Wenger might revert him to a left back like someone else not long ago.

England’s best player were Sears and Sturridge who worked hard but got so little service. They kept having to drop deep to get the ball.

If I was the Under 19 coach I would have Randall in ahead of Gibbs.

The options in central midfield in this squad aren’t that good.
Gosling is a full back/Midfielder and Rose, Gibbs and Sinclair are all wingers really.
So the team selection is strange to say the least.

Lansbury is usually in the squad its just his illness kept him out, not picking Randall is plain stupid, as is not playing Moses as he is a genuinely creative player. From what I have seen of him the Coach lacks imagination and is to old school. I imagine all the Arsenal players would confirm they get much better coaching at Arsenal, thats what England really needs to wake up to.

I think people should get off Gibbs back – and the rest of the team in fact. And don’t come out with the usual if Moses played it would have been different. He was well out of it as was Welbeck.
