Pedro Botelho & Håvard Nordtveit – Salamanca 1-2 Getafe
After a frantic few days for Salamanca new boy Håvard Nordtveit, the Norwegian finally got back to doing what he does best, playing football.
The 18-year-old has spent the last 24 hours arranging his housing in Salamanca, and was named amongst the substitutes for the Unions home clash against La Liga outfit Getafe.
Pedro Botelho also named on the bench, meaning he would have to wait to continue his excellent form which saw him on target against UD Villaymoor. Gorka Azkorra thumped the post inside the opening seven minutes, before the visitors got their act together and went for the kill.
Manu forced Alberto into a point blank save, but the Salamanca stopper would be beaten as sloppy defending allowed Fabio Celestini the chance to steal possession and slot home. But A second half header from Azkorra levelled proceedings, setting up an exciting finale.
Mario Biel Ribas would then put Getafe back in front – with another headed effort. Håvard Nordtveit was introduced with 15 minutes left in a bid to help plug the gaps in midfield, a mission which he accomplished as UDS forced a late come back.
Toti would come close late on as both sides began to stick their foot into challenges, summed up as another lung bursting Pedro Botelho run saw him hacked down by former Real Madrid striker Roberto Soldado. The Spaniard was given his marching orders, but Salamanca failed to capitalise.
Nacer Barazite – Derby 3-1 Leicester City
Nacer Barazite got off to a flying start on his Derby debut yesterday, as the flamboyant Dutchman created two goals for hat-trick hero Emmanuel Villa in the Rams 3-1 victory against Kerrea Gilbert’s Leicester City.
The fixture was a behind closed doors friendly designed to give manager Paul Jewell a look at his squad ahead of Saturday’s home game against Southampton. Barazite was in fantastic form and his assists will be a welcome addition to Jewell’s goal starved forwards.

Very good start for Nacer indeed, lets hope he really does well to impress Arsene Wenger and returns as a first team member ( which i am sure he will)
As for Howie , early days yet but i think his defensive abilities will be tested with technical play of the spanish sides. Good moves both of them for two potential first teamers!
Apart from Kieran Gibbs, do you think we will send anyone else on loan this summer, J?
I think now we have silvestre ( still can’t believe it!) maybe armand traore will go on loan to pompey , or maybe not.
I DONT WANNA HEAR ANYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SIGNING OF SILVESTRE…
HE IS OUR REPLACEMENT FOR J.HOTE…AND IM SURE HES WAY BETTER THAN J.HOYTE IS HE NOT???
HES STRONG AND QUICK AND A GOOD DEFENDER SIMPLE AS..BETTER THAN TROARE, BETTER THAN SENDEROS.
Nacer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brarazite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Sounds like Barazite did great, cnt wait to see him run out for Derby in a professional game. As for Pedro and Nordtveit, didnt start but hopefully if they keep showin the gaffa what they can do they’ll become regulars before the seasons out.
If anyone can find any videos of these games?!! Please post here, I can’t find any!!
wat channel was this match????????
Btw, Jerome Thomas has made his return to the Premier League, now at Portsmouth. Good buy for them, they need width, and i can’t wait to see him back in Premierhsip action.
They were both friendlies, and the Derby game was a behind closed doors friendly so no highlights.
