Injured Winger Barazite Considers Early Arsenal Return

Injured Arsenal winger Nacer Barazite is considering ending his 6 month loan spell at Derby County early, and returning to North London in a bid to speed up his recovery from a knee injury.

The 18-year-old Dutch Under 19 International joined The Rams on loan during the summer, and after a difficult first month, he slowly forced his way into Paul Jewell’s struggling outfit – helping end the Club’s year long wait for a League win with a stunning assist against Sheffield United.

But after a dangerous tackle from behind during the defeat to Blackpool last week, Nacer was left on a stretcher with suspected medial ligament damage. No snapping of the muscles was shown following a scan, although Derby are yet to put a firm timescale on his recovery.

Barazite’s deal with County is due to expire on December 31st, and it’s doubtful he will be back on the pitch before that date. It’s now a very real option that he will return to Arsenal and make use of the first class medical facilities at London Colney, before assessing his options in the new year.

I want Barazite to be loaned to a Premiership club that will play him. That way, we can follow his progress much better. Maybe a relegation team will come in for him…perhaps Stoke?

A buddy of mine is a Fulham supporter and he always wants his team loaning our youngsters. After every match he always tells me hw crap their players are and that “some French 16 year-old from Arsenal” would have played better. And maybe that’s not such a bad idea. :p

    Well said Anonymarse, haha.

I don’t want him to go to Stoke at least. They only have one technical player in their whole squad, he will only learn to run after high balls there. We don’t want any kick-and-run players here at Arsenal. I seriously think Newcastle might be a good option though. They can play the ball okay and he must surely be a better option than the shitkicker Ameobi, although he has 2 in 2 now. At least Nacer needs to be loaned out again, in my opinion. Our forward line is too crowded for him to come here with no experience.

Btw. was Vela playing with Mexico midweek or something. Where was he against West Ham?

Lets let him recover from his injury first before thinking about sending him out. I would send him to WBA if i was Wenger, they ‘try’ play good footy

If TA6 takes over at Pompey you could see quite a few players being loaned to Portsmouth.

He’ll be playing again in about 2 weeks according to my mate who’s an avid Derby follower, Craig Linfield of Liverpool was being lined up as a replacement just in case, but that deal’s off.

Linfield is a striker though, Barazite is a winger and has played on the wings for Derby, so that wouldn’t add up.

It’s not unheard of for young lightweight strikers to be played out on the wing – Derby did that with Lupoli

Linfield has played on the wing for Liverpool Reserves to accommodate both him, Pacheco and Nemeth, and as Priestas said, it’s not unheard of for a striker to be played there..

There are some very good footballing sides in the Championship, so i wouldn’t see a problem with Nacer playing there again this season.

Then again, title favourites Hull might wanna take him?
