Håvard Nordtveit – Lillestrøm 1-1 Viking

Håvard Nordtveit kept his place at right back this evening, as Lillestrøm picked up their second point of the season against Viking FK in an entertaining 1-1 draw.

Nordtveit had an eventful evening, and was involved in both goals. On 54 minutes the 18-year-old played in Jon Arne Riise’s brother Bjørn Helge, who smashed the bar, but Olivier Occean was on hand to lash home the rebound.

After being in control after the goal, it seemed like Lillestrøm would hold on for their first win of the campaign. Yet after Håvard gave away a free-kick 10 minutes later, Håkon Skogseid spun off his marker and clipped in the equaliser. It finished 1-1.

Henri Lansbury – Scunthorpe 2-0 Brighton

Henri Lansbury also played a pivotal role for his loan club, as Scunthorpe United got their promotion challenge back on track against a struggling Brighton.

Visiting stopper Mikkel Andersen had his afternoon made difficult by the Arsenal loanee. First Henri fizzed a long ranger wide after tidy feet from Hayes created the space, before Andersen had to be at full stretch to tip a 20 yard curled behind the post.

Just before half time, Scunthorpe got their breakthrough. Lansbury teed up Hooper who drilled home from 18 yards to give the Iron an important lead. Grant McCann doubled the advantage with 10 minutes left, securing the points.

Henri was pulled off half way through the second half.

Pedro Botelho – Salamanca 1-1 Tenerife

Pedro Botelho played the full 90 minutes as Salamanca lost 2-1 to Tenerife, despite going ahead through an early Miku strike.

Jay Simpson – West Brom – 1-1 Bolton

Jay Simpson put in an energetic yet fruitless shift as West Brom came from behind to rescue a point against Bolton. Simpson lasted 57 minutes before Roman Bednar replaced him.

Kerrea Gilbert – Leicester 1-1 Colchester

Kerrea Gilbert racked up another 90 minutes for League One pace setters Leicester City, but they were pegged back by Colchester, despite former Gunner Paul Dickov rolling back the years with a calm finish.

Paul Rodgers – Northampton 4-0 Stockport

Paul Rodgers was a second half substitute in Northampton Town’s rout over Stockport. Four unanswered goals gave them a comfortable victory.

Rui Fonte – Crystal Palace – 0-0- Reading

Although he was promised more playing time after extending his loan spell, Rui Fonte only got the final two minutes as Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Reading.

Gavin Hoyte – Watford 0-0 Ipswich

Gavin Hoyte played the final 40 minutes of Watford’s drab draw with Ipswich Town. He replaced American Jay DeMerit.

Nacer Barazite – Derby 0-0 Barnsley

Like many of his team mates playing in the Championship, Nacer Barazite was involved in a goalless draw, this time against Barnsley. Bary Bannan replaced Nacer at half time, after failing to make an impact.

Kerrea Gilbert haed appears to be in the right place, finally. After being carried away with his initial success; his behaavior has been unacceptable, he has put his head down and now getting playing time. Hopefully he matures. I like him. But his arrogance got better of him in the past two years and his development had stalled. Maybe, he has learned fromhis mistakes.

Can anyone update the info about wilshere. Did he recovered from that “dip” in form? I’m really worried about his performance.
