Arsenal Agree Deals For Defenders Angha & Edge

Arsenal is adding youth with the addition of two new bodies, Martin Angha and Jamie Edge. Details of the contracts are not yet been disclosed
through the normal online channels but there is little doubt that with whatever personal agreements they reach, neither Edge nor Angha will be in need
of any online payday loans between now and when they join the club.
The two clubs have agreed on a fee for Edge although he and his new club have not yet come to terms. Martin Angha, formerly of FC Zurich, is a defender.
That’s about it for now.

Interesting is Jamie Edge better at centre half or central mdifield? Apparently hes got great leadership skills and hes a two footed passer of the ball

no.9.. Did you saw the fa youth cup finale? We didn’t have “wingers” instead it was our CM players who played there and did you notice our dominance? I don’t know alot about liverpool but amoo seems to be their true winger but he couldn’t do alot in the flanks anyway. The U-18 side have proved that good players can play in many position and we don’t necessary need to buy wingers. Instead in Arsenal the CM needs to learn how to play as a winger too. We’ll have good players in all position I believe. This side set the bar of our academy and our u-16 side seems almost equally impressive. The future seems bright and exciting! I can’t wait til preseason starts.

We don’t really need wingers per se. A good dribbler, who is creative will be suffice. Arshavin is definitely not a winger but can play there, nor was Pires or Ljungberg.

What about Nathaniel Clyne, apparently we’re after him aswell. He’s an 18 year old crystal palace right back who has impressed greatly with his defending an attacking ability. Any thoughts jamie???

Messi, ronaldo? U need player who can run with the ball cause they can give u different options in attack. Rather than pass pass pass u need variety of attack. thats whta man utd have got they can attack in so mnay different ways.

Especially against tight defences or deep laying defences u need someone who run at people and creat space

J, first of all great report yesterday and i’m delighted to see young guns posting regular articles again. I just want to ask how good are these two guys in your opinion, and with Sunu’s performances toward the end of the season, do you think he will stay on, after being linked with a return to France?
Lastly – any news on the Argentine Keeper Martinez?
    Cheers.

John – I agree with What you said about wingers, but we have Walcott on the right, and I think the balance that Rosicky and Nasri will be able to give us next season means that we don’t really need another on the other flank, as then I think the midfield could get very overcrowded, with players like Denilson and Song not getting a look in, despite improving a lot this season. That said, if I think that Mata or Reira would be good signings, as Valencia will need to sell palyers this summer, and Liverpool want to play Barry there instead.
(Sorry for the long-first team orientated 2nd post =/, I just felt that would b interesting.)

i watch the 2nd half yesterday and they were good but were playing a team who wernt on the same level as them.

i watch the 1st team every week and its painfull how narrow we get sometimes. Often theres absolutly nobody available on the wing to stretch theplay. If someone is out there they will rarely get past there defender and put the ball in the box. everyone says walcott but then everyone also says hes a striker.

Both Theo and Arshavin are dribblers (and not just when talking about female drivers). Wilshere looks a ‘chip’ off thee old block, pun intended. Running at players is pretty much all Traore can do, and it’s an extremely underrated part of our full backs play. I don’t think we have a problem with dribbling or trying to get at defenders.

One part of our play that can be improved though is how central midfielders push up on defences. Look at Cesc and Song (or Deni etc.) and none of them really work like yr Lampards, Gerrards, Kakas or Vieiras and Essiens by breaking into the box, trying to turn defenders on their back foot and such. I think that’s partly why Nasri worked in the middle, and why Lansbury is an exciting prospect – they add something we don’t really get at the moment. Also, if Diaby sorted his concentration and laziness, I think this could be an essential skill for us to utilise.

We are too narrow and predictable we always pass it sideways why dont we go direct sometimes with wingers beating full backs getiing shots in or crosses. We have to add more variety in our attacks. It cant just always be pass pass pass

I think we should play Eboue against teams that defend too deeep cause sagna offer nothing in attack.

Like the Man Utd game showed our problem we are very good at passing the ball under pressure but when its comes to the final third we are not direct forcefull enough to get shots on or crosses in.

Thank you very much John. I think these boys will be solid additions. Jamie Edge is a rather old fashioned English type of player and he’ll add steel to the squad whereas I’ve seen nothing of Angha so I can’t really comment.

isnt Lansbury a winger? I saw him play in the LDV trophy final at wembely on tv last month. He looked to be one of the better Scunthorpe players.

Do you think he will break into the first team next season.

Henri Lansbury a CM but he plays quite brilliantly at RW This guy is a mssaive talent ever since i saw him in the euro under 17 he was one of the best players in the tournament he was up there with kirkic and hazard. Lansbury, hazard, krkic were the best player in that tournament

Messi and Ronaldo aren’t wingers. The former is an inside forward who will eventually be moved into the no. 10 spot behind the strikers and the latter is a deep centre forward.

I thought we were only going to sign experienced players from now….

no seriously, Jamie Edge apparently turned down Manu to come to Arsenal. if the arsenal academy continues to attract the best, and if we can keep them, then we will be looking at dominating the league in a few years time.

This is great. How many of these academy players actually will make it to the big club. How about getting some young players from South America? Did you see the Barcelona-Manchester United blow out? It was bad. Barcelona completely out played the Red Devils. Thanks for reading my stuff Bobby Gee.. http://bobbygee.wordpress.com/
Now its Copa Libertadores and World Cup time. Have a good one..Bobby Gee
