Loanees Video – Armand Traoré Goal V Sunderland

Arsène Wenger confirmed last week that winger Armand Traoré will be returning to the club during the summer, and on his final appearance at Fratton Park last night, the former Monaco trainee scored his first Premier League goal in Portsmouth’s 3-1 win over Sunderland.

Being named in the squad for the first time in 2009, Paul Hart brought Armand into the action at half time. His pace and energy brought a new impetus to Pompey, and despite falling behind, John Utaka, a Phil Bardsley own goal and a late drive from Traoré secured the win.

nice goal, i hope he will link up with the team next season to give us more depth. I see him more as a left winger for us although the competition is fierce however, it will only increase his hunger.

He has power and pace almost similar to Henry. No other player in our squad has his attributes.

Competition will be good for Traore. He arrived with a huge reputation but when Arsene pushed him to play deputy to Clichy he snapped; couldn’t keep up the challenge. I think he can make a real push for it in the left mid position.

He’s a discipline-suspect from what I hear. Whispering of his recent intention to buy a Ferrari does no good to him. Same as the incident at the Shit White Lane.

He will definitely learn from what Gibbs has achieved this season.
