Bristol City and Brighton and Hove Albion are among five Coca Cola League club’s to have made loan offers to Arsenal’s Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, according to the player himself.
The 18-year-old stopper has had a frustrating campaign which saw him spend a large amount of time on the sidelines. Two broken arms plus a fractured toe curtailed what promised to be a break through year. That said, Wojciech did sign a new three-year professional contract, and was named on the bench for the Premier League clash with Wigan.
He finished the season playing for both the Reserves and Under 18’s but he won’t be eligible for the Academy League next term, and with Vito Mannone appearing to be a solid fixture for Neil Banfield’s second string, a loan move could be on the cards. And it appears there is no shortage of potential suitors.
“I’ve received 5 loan offers. Two from clubs in the Championship and three from clubs in League One. They include offers from Bristol City and Brighton.”
Brighton had previously been linked with moves for Arsenal youngsters yet reports linking Kyle Bartley and Rhys Murphy with switches are unfounded. There is no doubt that Szczęsny would benefit enormously from a spell on loan yet the ambitious Poland Under 21 International fired a warning shot to the Italian Mannone.
“But maybe I will stay, because [Vito] Mannone is not better than me.”
Szczęsny is considered a rising star in his homeland and there is massive interest in his development. If he fails to overcome Mannone in the coming season sections of the media believe he may quit the Gunners and return to Poland. However, there is without doubt that the imposing ‘keeper can make serious strides in the next 12 months.

I’m a Bristol City fan and would love for him to come down to the gate! We have one of the best Keepers in the Championship so can only benifit him, in the long run!
I think he should go on loan to a club where he will play regularly…
I agree Robert. He probably has more chance at Brighton but Bristol are a good footballing team.
he’s outstanding…like Peter Cech in many ways. Our No.1 in 4 years.
His attitude reminds me of a certain Nicky Bendtner at that age :)
Seems a stupid thing to say publicly,. And have you any news on where how our released players are signing for

J, if Szczesny was available for the u18s last year then how come Shea was playing throughout the FA Youth Cup run?
My mate is a Brighton fan, and he reckons Szczesny won’t even get into Brighton first team either. They have Michel Kuipers. He should go to AFC Bournemouth who are my local team, they need a good goalie!
Did he mean that seriously or was he joking about Mannone?

Im pretty sure Szwerny was being serious about Mannone not being better than him! The lad is quality..
I hope he doesn’t have the same kind of experience as Mannone did. I have high hopes for Tech9. Definitely a better prospect than the Italian and who know, with a solid loan period he could return to become the No. 2 at Arsenal. Fabiansky really has to pick up his decision making if he is ever to challenge for the No. 1 shirt at Arsenal.
This is good for the player. He gets to work on his game. Bobby Gee Thanks for reading my blog.. Brasil-USA today..Go Brasil

pound for pound as likened to the boxing profession and taking age into consideration, including first team and reserves there is no doubt in my mind that SZCZESNY and CHAMBERS are the two keepers that posess the most potential.
