Video – Watch Arsenal Target Castaignos

As Young Guns reported earlier in the day, Arsenal have been in negotiations with Feyenoord for the transfer of striker Luc Castaignos, but any talk of an offer has been put back until July according to the players agent, Arie Treffers.

The Dutch Under 17 International has received comparisons with former Gunner Thierry Henry. Below you can see 8 minutes worth of highlights which feature Luc performing for Holland at the recent European Under 17 Championships in Germany. The footage shows off a whole range of the 16-year-old’s talents, and you can judge whether you think he’s worth the reported €4 million Euro’s.

He’s real class, he has good face on him, and I love that he was crying at the end. Seems to me that he is really living for the game.

He linked up really well with Ozzy. Who’s passing was absolutely class. I’ve seen most of the games. I think Ramsey has to watch out for Ozzy, I think Ramsey can become and 8 or 9 out of 10. Ozzy can become at least a 9 and maybe if he can improve physically and mentally he can become a 10 out of 10.

bewater = Walcott is a great lad and a great player (fast, pacy) but he will never have the skills of Henry. Luc Castaignos already has the skills and trickery. I think Luc can be better than Walcott, Wilshere and maybe even come close to King Henry!

The price is €4 million euro – which is £3.4 million pounds.

I think him and Ozyakup are a very exciting couple of talents – and having them both here would be amazing.

Moushin – You think this Castaignos can be better than Wilshere? Not a chance. I see nothing from that clip to suggest he can be mentioned in the same breath as Wilshere. Every club has a one of talent through the youth system, once ever so many years. Our last being Ashley Cole. Now Jack Wilshere is someone who has the talent to be one of the best midfielders in England and Europe and best of all he’s Arsenal born and bread!

i think we are his preferred club so we should be able to get him.also having his intl team-mate(ozyakup) at arsenal will make it easier for him as well.i liked the no.7 in the clip as well v.good passing, speed & decision making.who is he?the dutch & french academies turn out talent at an amazing rate & they’r better than most english kids.the english clubs need to look across the channel & learn from their counterparts.there’s so many english players with aweful technique & composure.Hopefully that will set our kids from the rest.

would it be 3.4 millions in cash or would it be clause-connected?

also, to those who have seen this kid. How do you rate him compared to Balotelli?

    @ KM

Number 7 is Shabir Isoufi also from Feyenoord he is from Afghan origin and he is a classic winger.

Number 14 is Mohammed Madmar from AZ Alkmaar, he is from Morrocan Origin and he is also highly rated. He’s a versatile defender with great vision, energy and decent technique.

actually, Wilshere as well as Gibbs, are born in south London, or at least they played for Wimbledon until 2001

Aswel as Castaignos i fink arsenal should sign Reuben Noble-Lazarus. what a playa he’ll be in a few years, i fink if arsenal get there hands on him now and help with his technical side of his game. He could be betta than theo walcott because he has that kind ov ability. I hope he doesnt do a victor moses and stay in the championship as he relies on pace 2 much and willl neva b gurd enuff for the prem in my eyes. He had all the right attibutes to be a quality playa but not the rite coaching!
