Arsenal Scouts Watch Zézinho Wonder Goal – Video

Arsenal officials including Chief South American scout Sandro Orlandelli were among a 2,555 strong crowd at Portuguesa’s Canindé stadium on Tuesday to watch Brazil Under 17 International Zézinho in action for Juventude.

And the left-footed wonderkid didn’t disappoint. After putting in a typically brilliant performance, he showed exactly why he has a buyout clause of £11.9 million pounds or $20 million dollars. In what proved to be an extremely tight encounter, Zézinho received the ball on the left wing, he then danced inside before unleashing an unstoppable rocket on his weaker right foot which landed in the top corner. It proved to be the winner.

Arsenal have previously had a £1.5 million pound bid turned down, while a revised £3.5 million pound incentive based offer should be enough to prize him away from Brazilian Serie ‘B’ outfit Juventude. However, there are reports that they have raised Zézinho’s buyout clause further in the last two days, but they are still open to offers.

Fazio’s agent said he do not want to leave Sevilla at the moment, there are seem to be no chance to get Fazio now.

John – On the 29th of last month You asked me if there was any bids, and are we trying to sign him and I said, and quote ‘Don’t know anything new about Hangeland’

And then I gave an opinion that I don’t think he’ll come. So please don’t say I got things wrong when I didn’t. Anyway, to answer your question.

Fazio is a player I really like, but he’s made it clear he doesn’t want to come here and thats fair enough. It’s like with Cesc, he doesn’t want to leave and we should respect that.

That said, if he doesn’t get much game time next season, I don’t think he’ll hang around long.

Frederico Fazio the best centre half in the world? What I’ve seen from him has been very, very average.

Very good goal, looks promising. Got a quick question for people. Who do we think is better, Mannone or Szczesny? Personally I really don’t rate Mannone and think he is too rash in his distribution and much prefer Wojciech. However I also don’t feel that either will make it at Arsenal as that appears to be the one real position where you really have to be bought in to play regularly. I can’t remember the last keeper to have come through the ranks.

Hi guys! I´m a Juventude supporter. I know Zezinho since he played for the club under-17, so I can say with no doubt: He is different.Someone asked about how good he is compared to the others…..and the answer is: He´s the best team player at the moment, without him, we suck!!! It´s the first time he´s getting consecutive matches to paly, so i´m pretty there´s much more to come in the next games.

Another good point about him is his personality. He is not like other brazilian players, who think they´re the best, go out to parties every day and like to show his belongins. Zezinho is humble, a simply kid (even having already much money). He´s very focused in what he does.

Crocker93 – I think Szczesny has what it takes to be our number one in the future. I like him a lot. Remember, he is only 18.

JS – If Arsenal officials were there as well, wouldn’t that suggest that we may have planned talks with the kid’s representatives/Juventude officials? Seems interesting to me. If true, which i believe it is, due to ur credibility, this boy might even be signed in the next week or so.

This kid is good. He has a great leg with range. Or Football terms the kid has a cannon for a leg. Great striking ablility along with some really sweet moves. One week and counting. I can’t wait. http://bobbygee.wordpress.com/

I agree with some of the other comments, we need to see him play 90 minutes before any decisions are made.

if arsenal have already made a bid, a pretty high bid, for him that means they’ve probably been tracking him for months and have most likely seen him play countless times. Maybe the fans need to see him play a full 90, but Arsenal seem to be already set on their opinion of him

no.9: That or they were the most appropriate club available for furthering his development? Like how Lansbury turned down ‘better’ clubs for Scunthorpe because he was guaranteed football, forward thinking training and a club-player mentality to be admired. Levante may not be the most exciting club at first glance, but if he’s going there, it must be for a reason. Wenger certainly rates him as a future Arsenal regular, so it’s not like he’s pony and in the shop window.

We have a great track record with Brazilians and the dude has a great name – sounds good to me.

I can’t understand the logic in letting Merdia leave. He’s impressed in the Emirates cup and he provides cover for Nasri and Rosicky who are both now injured. It leaves our options on the left wing as Vela, Wilshere, Traore and Diaby. Vela nd Diaby have played no part in pre-season, to me Traore is a left back, which just leaves Jack. Obviously we know Wilshere has an unbelievable amount of potential but would he be able to stand up to the intensity of the 2 Premier Leaguie games a week? Surely keeping Merida around would provide us with another option. As for Simpson, I really don’t think he possess’ the ability to be an Arsenal player. I think he’ll be gone permanently sooner rather than later.

Wenger should get him. If he did that with his weaker foot imagine what he can do with his left foot. This young superstar reminds me of Kaka and Vela. He should not be a problem to buy we have bout £40 million in our bank. Get him b4 some other team gets him

    Hi Guys,
For who wants to see a little more of Zezinho, Juventude will play this night here in Brasil. You can try to access this site http://www.rojadirecta.com/ and search for de match Juventude x São Caetano. I also could point a internet radio but I don’t think a radio in portuguese will be usefull…
    Cheers!

It seems that Arsenal’s time is over, unless they make a descent offer to Juventude. Their 1.5 million offer set them a bad reputation – of ones trying to take advantage of who knows what. All the recent buzz was created by Zezinho’s agent, who seems to be eager to profit from the transaction. Juventude, that owns the economic rights for the transaction, has a totally diverse agenda, looking at its and Zezinho’s interests. Now Santos (Pelé’s squad) has the priority for the transaction – Zezinho is on a 2 years loan to Santos (but he could be negotiated at any time to any team, provided Santos’ priority is respected).
