Arsenal will complete the signing of Bolivan winger Samuel Galindo next week, Young Guns can confirm. The player is in London and the club are in the process of applying for a ‘special talent’ work permit. If granted, it would allow Galindo to go straight into the squad, instead of facing a lengthy loan spell.
Samuel, the current captain of Boliva’s Under 21 national team despite being only 17, will be a surprise signing after it appeared he would seal a switch to Everton earlier this week. Following a week-long trial, David Moyes sat down with the prospect to discuss terms, but an agreement couldn’t be reached. Instead Arsène Wenger asked for a quick look at the left winger and was instantly impressed. A quick deal has been done with Real America which will see a figure of around £500,000 change hands, although that will rise once he makes 50 appearances for the club.
The skilful and energetic attacking talent has been preffered to Juventude’s Brazilian starlet Zezinho, who Arsenal have been in constant contact with. Samuel has been training with Wenger’s first-team charges over the last two days and it appears that he will bypass the youth setup and go straight into contention for a starting place in the closing months of the season. This would be of course if the permit is granted, and he passes a medical. The club famously exploited the ‘special talent’ option to bring Alexandre Song to North London in 2005.

he looks good on this video
Davywenger- I said Js site was the best. Dont throw my name around like that. Plus “you word is gospel”…you sound like you are in a cult.
Just saying that someone shouldnt take credit for writing articles that have already been written, doesnt make me a bad guy. He does a great job on this site overall and if he didnt I would be on this site as much as I am.
I haven’t taken credit for an article already written. In order to do that I’d have to have labelled this post ‘Exclusive’. I just confirmed the news and added extra information, as people had asked for it.
Thank you btw Shane, it’s great to have you here.
Thats cool then…Good job then and its good to be here
PS J… after you have the info about the transfers and stuff, you can go to imscouting.com which is a proffesional scouting site, but they have a player database of almost every proffesional player in the world. It costs alot of money for full access but they allow some info for free which includes…players main position and secondary position, plus international apperances and goals and club apperances on goals.
Heard Jack Wilshire might go to FC Twente on loan. I think that might be the best choice.

@rungo
Thanks for the video!i see that his weaker right foot is quite good his passes are superb but his team’s strikers can’t finish

Apparently he may struggle for a work permit and thus they are looking for a Spanish side to send him to in order to obtain one.
Before I read that, I was going to ask if this signing was likely to spell the end potentially of Merida’s time at Arsenal but if Galindo will be away for 12/18 months then it shouldn’t really matter.
The guy is a monster, and if he can successfuly convert to a winger, then no fullback will be able to handle him!! Although I like him a lot in the position he is already in!! And putting him out wide might stifle some of his passing ability, and of course his ability to hold the ball up??? Well he’s in the best possible hands, so I’m sure it’ll work out wherever he plays.
There is noway that he is a winger. He looks a pure centermid, with strength, vision, passing and ball control. Too me he looks like direct competition with guys like Lansbury.
As for the comments by john and holohoax…..We are fine at left back but honestly at right back we have not 1 decent young right back. It is kind of funny that the majority of people are right footed in the world yet there is a whole lot more quality leftbacks than rightbacks in the world of football.
This looks like a great signing. I know more about Brasileiros futebol. This should work out.
Um Bobbygee…his isnt from brazil or brazilian futebol.
Bobbygee it is called football not futebol
um sorry critic but in portugese its Futebol
absolute class site. never heard any thing about this guy until now .
O.K, I forgot BobbyGee married someone from Portugal. But call it Football plz, it is and English site, and in English it is Football;)
I mean he married someone from brazil soz
LOL Soccer,Futebol,Football, The Beautiful Game…..its all the same game.
i take a look at this guy several time, and i dont know if anybody else can see what iam seeing in this guy, i say he remind me of Kanu Nwanko with the way he hold up ball in his feet and the way he use ball on his feet and the way he creat space for other players to play and especialy his passing, i say everything i see in him is Kanu, does this mean we now has duplicate of Kanu in our team again, do anybody else see this.
Well put Shane, Playing Footy out here in the U.S I have had to adapt to calling it Soccer. Do you play?
People always give America crap for calling it soccer, even tho Australia even call their national team “Socceroos”. We just say soccer here to avoid explaining which sport you are talking about everytime you bring up the word football. But even our MLS clubs are called names like Sounders FC (Football Club).
I play in a local hispanic league. I used to play keeper for the number 1 club in Indiana, and striker for my high school team and was recruited for goalie by division 1 schools like Dayton and even IU talked to me my junior year after playing in a tourney with my club at the time FC Pride. Unfortunetly bad family issues through my life way off course. My younger brother plays for Midcontinent in kentucky which is one of the highest ranked NAIA teams in the country and they wanted me to play for them but mentally I cant take playing anymore so I prefer to coach. I help coach at a high school and FC Pride.
I have played for Pride, and I play for one of the highest Ranked teams in Colorado.( though im the youngest on the team)
Im not giving the U.S.A crap for calling it soccer, I know how Big American Football is over their, ( i live in Colorado, ive been here almost 2 years), Rapids and Sounders did well last season , Fredy Montero deserves a move to Europe, maybe a club of PSV, FULHAM standard.
Im pleased the US, Korean ( South) AND Japanese leagues are developing. I dont like it when people give those leagues crap.
I support Sounders and have as soon as i read they signed fredy Montero. It showed that they were going to run the club right and actually use scouting rather than just signing old over the hill players. I watched Montero play for Atletico Huila of columbia in 2006 when he was onloan there. He was the league top scorer. I believe if they losen the salary cap just a little, Seatle could put together a team that could compete with dutch teams and such.
I love clubs that specialize in scouting. It is one of the coolest things to find players that are great but would not have a shot if it wasnt for teams that put effort into finding the next big thing or the unkwon ruff diamond rather than just overspending on obvious big names. Not even just Soccer/Football either. Obviously, Arsenal are my team, the in mls sounders do the same. And in American football it is the Colts. We have traded for or signed a big name free agent in years. It is all scouting college football.
we “havent” traded for or signed a big name free agent.
I Love Arsenal,
I like the Rapids, ( Other clubs We have deals with) and Gillingham,
Try watching the J-League and the K-League , I enjoy watching those leagues, as I have friends out in Korea and Japan, ( all over the world)
I saw that Ki Sung Yung guy play in a friendly for Seoul verse man utd a few years ago a was impressed. He is at Celtic now. Quality players are hidden in the J-League like Hulk of FC Porto and Seydou Doumbia of Young Boys (signed for CSKA Moscow) played in the J-League. Unfortunetly, those 2 leagues arent the easiest to see here. And I like Simeon Jackson of Gillingham.
Yeaaahhh Simeon Jackson!!! He’s A Canadian citizen now:D If he keeps playing like he has he said that he might move up a league!! I don’t know him personally, but I’ve seen him interviewed on tv a few times.
I try to find highlights online, and i have a few mates in/from those nations, so they no some websites.
There are loads of players over their, Celtic will be a good team fro Ki, N’Guemo and Brown should play well with him.
If U want I can give you a list of players to look at, they are all mostly young, 16-22 years old. Arsene should defo take a look at em’.
Canada gets the short end on the stick similar to Americas national team. Gioseppi Rossi, Brede Hangledad and Neven Subitoc all could have played for our team. Canada lost Jonathon De Guzman, a highly rated midfielder and brother of canadian international Julian De Guzman chose Netherlands over Canada and of course you lost out on Owen Hargraves.
Endo of Gamba Osaka is my favorite player in the J-League right now and I have seen highlights of Kinji Shagawa. In Korea 2 young players to watch are Yoo Byung-Soo of incheon utd and Lee Seung-Ryul of FC Seoul. Unfortunetly Celtic play a 4-4-2 so only 2 of the 3 you named can be picked. What is your list tho?
Oh I know, I was pissed that Jonathan didn’t choose us. I mean his bro did so it doesn’t make sense. And he’s not quite good enough yet to get into the Holland squad. Well he’s not good enough to start anyway. He’s fallen off a bit in the last year and a half. I remember back in 2001 I was really hoping Owen would choose Canada, but I mean I can understand his desire to play and start for England. His father is from there. But he still has a bit of a Canadian accent!! lol. He hasn’t got the British one down quite yet lol. We’ve had some very good players actually. A lot of people were questioning Julian de Guzman’s decision to come to MLS at his age but MLS is coming on strong, so it could turn out to be the right call. I knew a man who had been on the team that qualified for the 1986 world cup. He came from Scotland, and even though he was in his 50’s he could still really play!! Haven’t seen him in 6 years now. His daughter was a very good player as well and I am surprised she didn’t make the women’s squad, but she’s young enough to make it still.
To be honest…Julian plays for toronto because he couldnt get picked up by a decent ueropean club. Still a good signing for toronto tho. On the brother thing, Solomon Kalou had originally chosen holland over ivory coast even tho his brother was playing for Ivory Coast, but citizenship issues or something like that didnt work out. Plus Kevin Prince-Boeteng chose Ghana while his brother Jerome chose Germany. Interesting thing is if they both are selected, they could become the first brothers to ever face eachother the world cup when Germany plays Ghana in the group stage.
Shane , I have written a list down, ages ago, I am trying to find it, but due to my homework I will get back to you later tonight, or tomorrow , depending on when I find it.
It is fairly large, so I will do one league at a time, ( helpful as I have a J and K league list)
( Ages ago = around 1 month ago)
I wrote down both J league, K league, Lists.
As I said, I will put it on the comments on this site when i have:
a) Finished my Homework, and
b) actually found it in my papers,
It should not take long.
It’s funny, Julian plays better with the national team than with Toronto. His best game was against Brazil when he scored and made another goal. I think it was two years ago now. His level might drop now that he isn’t in Spain. He is at his best attacking and defending. With FC he mostly defends and then distributes the ball instead of driving upfield like he does with Canada. Oh well. I really like both the Boateng brothers. Both are really solid and versatile players. It’d be funny if they played eachother in the summer. Although I hated when I played against my twin brother!! Even in school or training haha.
AAhhh…Galindo is a Redondo in disguise!!!
Mark Randall is loaned out to MK Dons = Mark Randall’s career at Arsenal is over

Ich denke das ist eh nur ne Modeerscheinung.
sorry to burst everyones bubble but its not done yet the galindo deal…it was announced as done and aw himself was quoted on the arsenal website as saying he will be loaned straight out…all has gone quiet since and that is due to some inquiries being made about the authenticity of his passport…its been claimed galindo is actually 20 not 17 and that his passport is a forgery and a bolivian news team have tracked down his alleged original passport quoting his true age as 20 not 17…until that is sorted i would say its very much on the rocks and is totally 50-50 as to whether or not it will go through i wouldn’t hold your breath…
