Sunu In Talks Over New Deal As Loan Looms

Arsenal’s Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis is holding talks with Gilles Sunu this week over extending his contract. The club want to get the Frenchman’s long-term future decided before he is loaned to one of three Championship club’s who have been in touch regarding a short-term deal.

Sunu joined the Gunners from Chateauroux in 2007 and was a key member of the Under 18 side which won the Premier Academy League and FA Youth Cup double, scoring 11 times. He thrived in the striker role after previously looking shaky down the middle and being operated as a winger – a position which he featured in when he played the closing stages of the Champions League clash with Olympiacos earlier this season.

Gilles has often found life in London difficult and was previously interested in a return to France with Lyon, but the move never came to fruition. Instead Arsène Wenger has indicated that he sees Sunu as an option for the future, this was confirmed when he was handed a start in the Carling Cup in a 2-0 win over West Brom. However, in order to progress to the next level and complete his development, he needs game time.

Blackpool were in touch at the start of the campaign, but they were rebuffed due to the contract issue and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas headed to the coast instead. Derby County are the latest club to be linked, yet early reports that they are in talks are a little premature, but the Rams do hold an interest. Sunu wants reassurances over his future especially after Sanchez Watt penned extended terms and was moved into the first-team on a regular basis.

A new deal should be place well before Gilou’s birthday in March, when he turns 19.

Critic….I am sorry that we are cocky, but to be one of the most powerful countries you need to be a little cocky. Anyways every person is cocky when it comes to their country, and everyone loves their own countries. Italian people are 100 times more cocky than your average American. About the war thing, We dont hold it over your heads about taxation without representation. Do we forget who was wrong in that war, so to act cocky about the fact that a brand new out numbered nation won its freedom over a much more powerful established country that was trying to run rule over you. I dont see how that makes us bad. Also I know everyone loves to hate us because we “stick our noses in other peoples business, but sometimes the world does need policing. If it didnt then we would have madness. Also we will be the first people if any country needs help. Whether that be Haiti to England. By the way…this is the reason I find it most messed up that we are disliked. America is simply every country in one and you are living proof. We have litterally people from every country living here. Whether it be half ossie, british, etc. Even our president was born to a Kenyon father. We are litterally the melting pot.

I know this was of topic but owell.

You can’t compare Denilson to Eastmond. Denilson has played tons of games and yet average. His passes are mostly backwards and sideways. He lacks pace and looks on while overtakes him and get into scoring positions. He has no aerial ability and is physically weak. The thing is, he should be a squad player but playing him regularly only weakens the team.

Shane, do you honestly read your comments and not think its sounds overly arrogant and wont upset anyone?
After a very expensive war we taxed you for the very first time, after raising taxes in our own country to try not to tax you+we discovered Australia , so we had barely any of our troops in the 13 colonies at the time (you like to say we had more ) + you had the french , spain and holland, equally big players on the world stage.

So how are we in the wrong, and dont say you saved our ass in ww2 because you just didnt.

I really do try not to get upset… but when you put comments like that I will.

I love America, what it stands for and what it does, I can understand the world needing a police like nation, but you cant expect every one to like you for it.

And the Italians are not more arrogant than you, you are an overly cocky nation.
I understand why everyone needs to be cocky , but only slightly cocky, nor arrogant, because that is the way to lose allies. ( TBH British are the only people who would side with you with power at the moment, but because of our gittish politicians , we will be siding with Europe soon, The EU will destroy our culture, history, and everything we hold dear, and yes this is a 14 year old understanding European Union better than adults)

I dont hold grudges against any country or person, I love everyone , but I can see peoples faults and nations faults easily, and I know I have a lot of my own. (I do have a lot of faults , and im trying to change that)

Look I come on these sites to talk about football but I just get tired of reading anti american stuff which believe me happens quite a bit. I dont want to argue about governments and getting blamed for whatever the government does gets annoying. Anyways, like I said everyone is cocky but apperently we are the only ones that get noticed. Owell. Last time I checked I was not a politition and I dont asociate you with Englands government cause your not. Owell. Anyways back to football.

Haven- Why did you say my name? Pete is the one that provided those stats and was just saying the same thing you are. You also said the same thing I said so what is your point? Also read your description of Denilson and tell me that is not how you would describe Eastmond.

Yeah, some of my closest friends are American, and when I hear people being rude about them it gets on my nerves, even though I diss em’ every now and again.
Shane , I wont be rude about the U.S on here dont worry,
I dont associate you with your government either, so I think we are on the same page.
( Everyone is cocky, the U.S is noticed because other people and certain countries are looking at Christian nations to take offence and find excuses to take the piss.
