Arsenal’s Reserves return to action this evening following the winter break with a feisty London derby with West Ham set to raise temperatures on a freezing night in the East of the capital.
Three defeats in the final month of the first half of the campaign leave Neil Banfield boys a little off the title pace, but a win over the struggling Hammers would certainly aid the title push. However, the avaliablity of several players is in doubt after an increasing number of Banfield’s first-choice have featured in the first-team over the last few weeks. Run outs for many of the promising Under 18’s seems inevitable.
Sanchez Watt and Gilles Sunu should lead the line but with the former being touted to several Championship clubs regarding a loan move, Benik Afobe or Luke Freeman could step in and provide different but effective options. Francis Coquelin and Craig Eastmond are set to continue their solid shield in front of a back four led by captain Kyle Bartley.

Sounds like Merida is playing well??
Frimpong scored, has Pedro Botelho done anything of note yet?
Do you guys get Espn360.com in england? They have the first leg of celta vigo vs villareal on there.
It is 4-3 now, JET scores his hattrick
Sorry I meant 4-2
West Ham’s second penalty was mistake by the ref Bartley had a clean tackle per live text ? ATVO needs to refund me a month because of false advertising?
wenger should give E.T. a go as forward…..i’m not saying that cos he scored a couple….i been saying it for a while!!!!! we need a little hight, if not just to give us an option. or try diaby up there and do it that way….
I wonder, can JET maintain his goal scoring ability If AW play him as a striker/2nd striker..
Yeah would like to see him given a chance, i thought against Everton we could have brought him on but we equalised anyway
Well, I bet he can!!
Lets not jump on this band wagon to much now. I dont think JET is ready to play in a competetive prem match yet. Maybe if we get a lead but not starting.
JAY EMMANUEL THOMAS
Also we dont play a 2nd striker. I would much rather see Edaurdo just step up and be the forward we know he can be. I cant understand how even when our 2 other strikers are out, he still is put up top. He isnt a winger either. I think he is a good striker, but his finishing is poor right now which is his strong point normally. But if Wenger doesnt think he is good enought then why do we keep him?
the new formation doesn’t suit him imo, better in a 4-4-2 upfront with someone big like Ade or Bendy in 07/08, gets too isolated in this formation.
That is true..but then what do you do with him. He is exactly the most creative winger. Plus it isnt like Arshavin doesnt get isolated up there.
True Shane.
Did anyone watch Pedro Botelho? how is he playing?

It is said that JET is playing as a striker in a 4-1-4-1 formation:
“Campbell’s inclusion may have been the headline team-news, but there were some other notable inclusions. Vito Mannone started in goal, whilst Fran Merida was also included. The side lined up in a 4-1-4-1 formation with Emmanuel-Thomas spearheading the attack and Craig Eastmond shielding a four-man midfield (from right to left) of Francis Coquelin, Mark Randall, Merida and Gilles Sunu. Kerrea Gilbert played at right-back, with captain Kyle Bartley partnering Campbell and Thomas Cruise was at left-back.”
Is this true?
