Following confirmation of the signing of Fluminense forward Wellington Silva, Arsenal are hot the heels of their second Brazilian, with Silva’s international team-mate Zézinho also being lined up for a move to North London.
His club side Juventude have rejected a number of bids from Arsenal but they finally succumbed to increase pressure and accepted an offer in December. However, a change of board has seen President Sergio Florian wait until January to decide whether to sanction the transfer. A group of European investors have also had an offer accepted meaning it will be a two-way fight.
The exciting left-footed winger is already a regular for the Serie ‘B’ outfit but his days are numbered. It’s almost certain that his current employers will not fully own their prize asset by the end of the January window. Zézinho only signed a new deal recently but his club manager expects him to leave, with an improved bid set to come to secure the transfer for Arsenal shortly.
“The last contact from Arsenal was about 20 days ago. I think they are waiting until January, when the transfer window opens and the Head of Arsenal Youth will make an improved bid. For now, there is nothing new.”
A skilful, diminutive but strong attacking winger, Zézinho spent two weeks on trial a year ago, and since then he’s gone on to be a key part of the Brazil youth lineup and for Juventude’s first team. A transfer should be concluded shortly.

so were just gonna overlook the fact that lansbury is potentially bi-sexual then
Mourinho the pimp can sell his whores Drogba and Ibra all over the world and building a team around them’s just an excuse for the brothel he always dreamed to open. In other words I’m happy we got the two brazilians before the pimp did.

Sorry Sean but you are letting down this new image as a prophet. Coutinho was the maestro “number 10 role” and Wellington(not welington silva) played center mid. Neymar played in the robinho role and Zezinho wore the number 9 and played as the top striker.
Jam– For one we need those foreign players that want to leave when the think they are world class because these are the players that finance are club. We buy a player for 3 million and sell him for 20. Plus we havent sold any player that wasnt replacable and Thierry Henry was past his prime. We dont sell our top players in their prime and the only mismanagment I have seen Wenger have is not playing Diarra then selling him only to have Flamini not sign a new deal and leave us without a def mid.
I see zezinho has 11 goals in 25 games for the first team
and 5 in 9 for brazil youth
ZEZINHO LOOKS A TALENT,
RAMSEY , LANSBURY, ZEZINHO, KAGAWA, KI SUNG,
LOOK THE BEST YOU MIDDYS IN THE WORLD AT THE MO’
He’s a Left Winger for all you misinformed people…
Not as good as Wellington either.
There we go again ‘TheCritic’. You make some intelligent points when you post but Ki Sung? Shinji Kagawa? What in God’s name makes you think they are amoung the world’s best young midfielders at the moment? Even Lansbury doesn’t stand out that much – a good player but I’m yet to be convinced that he’s Arsenal quality. And diddio, yes we are going to overlook the fact that Lansbury is potentially bisexual, because so is everyone and nobody except you actually gives a sh*t. To be honest, I’m starting to wonder why you’re so interested in Lansbury’s sexuality.
thanks for this read.
Lilt, I meant to put ‘Upcoming’ instead of ‘Best’, anyway , I am entitled to my own opinion, as are you. So unlike you, I will not dismiss your own views.
After reviewing my list:
Upcoming Midfielders…
…Franco Zuculini,
…Aaron Ramsey,
…Shinji Kagawa,
They, to me, have all proven themselves,
There are a few more, but I wont list them to avoid conflict.
I am interested to know who you would put?
PS:
If you ever looked at Kagawa’s Statistics, Matches and Highlights, you would, in fact, ( possibly) agree with me.
The best talent from south america in the class of 92 is a kid called Joazinho Arroe of Peru and Siena in Italy. If you watched the u17 south american championship then you saw this kid was by far the best talent but his team was bad.
TheCritic- You forgot Toni Kroos who is probly even a bigger talent than Ramsey or atleast the same level. Paulo Henrique of Santos his a huge talent too. But yes the Shinji Kagawa does look a good talent and has even been courted by Madird and Barca.
Anyone know what happen to that montenegro kid “new messi” kid we were suppose to be signing?
Very interesting
Hope we get him,
TheCritic, I’ve seen his stats, highlights and saw him play on TV against Finland when I was in Tokyo a year ago. He scored a decent goal, against terrible opposition. His stats are good, but come on, it’s the J League Second Division, you don’t have to be world class for that. His highlights show that he’s a decent finisher, although Japanese goalkeepers have a tendancy to be poor positionally, and that he’s got decent pace and ball control. Nothing stands out though. Real and Barca both took a look at him. Neither were interested, and I’m not surprised.
Ramsey certainly would be on my list for reasons I’m sure you, as a gooner, know as well as I. Zuculini is, for me, a decent candidate. He looks promising, but I’m not sure he’ll ever play for a big club, because he’s a luxury player. He hardly does any defensive work so would probably need to play in a 4-3-3, and if a top team is going to have a player like him, he’d have to become truely outstanding, which I don’t think he will be. He looks a little one-dimensional. To be fair Ki Sung-Yong, from the little I’ve seen of him, does look very good. I’d like to see how he’d get on if he played on a more congested pitch though, such as in an EPL/FA Cup game, yesterday’s game with West Ham being the classic example. He seems to like spraying the ball out wide a lot, but in the top leagues this isn’t so often an option. You have to work the ball wide, and sharp movement off the ball is another string he needs to add to his bow. He also needs to bulk up a little bit. Not a great deal but with less time on the ball he’ll be pushed around a lot more, and he doesn’t look physically ready for that yet, especially for a tall guy with a high centre of gravity. If he succeeds with Celtic I’d like to see him in La Liga/Bundesliga. With a bit of refinement I think he could do well there.
Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil, Arda Turan (if he can calm himself down in games, but even Messi had to learn that) have all proved themselves to a certain extent. Keko, Paulo Henrique Lima, Lulinha (Yes, him), Guiliano de Paula are all talented players. But at that level you can never be sure.
great!!!!
