Martin Angha is the Lamb Awards sponsored Young Guns Player of the Month for March. The rugged centre back has had an impressive start to his Arsenal career after finally completing his move from Swiss side FC Zürich.
Angha’s month began on the 13th as he made his debut at right back against Milton Keynes Dons. A strong performance included a ball over the top for the first Arsenal goal. It finished 4-0. A week later he started again, this time at centre half in a 4-2 win over Cardiff City. Another solid 90 minutes saw his reputation grow.
Just two days later Martin was named on the bench for the Reserves game against West Ham. He was brought on with 9 minutes left for a second-string debut just two weeks after his Under 18 bow. A fantastic journey for the talented prospect. He returned to league action the following weekend, again in the middle of the defence for the Reading clash, before completing the month with another Reserves appearance. This time getting 19 minutes at home to Birmingham City.
Martin is currently captaining the Under 16’s in Italy, meaning he won’t be available for selection for this evening’s Reserve team game. Neil Banfield takes his charges to the midlands to face table toppers Aston Villa, with a win a must if the Gunners are to try and fight their way back into the title race.
This kid is a real arsenal fan
how many players have played for the reserves, under 16s and 18s in the same year? any idea
but truth be told I really haven’t been overly impressed with his performances I thought he was OK but he did suffer any injury and Bould did say it will take him a few games to get back to full fitness still I found him a bit slow.
I really do hope he progresses from our youth rank into first team because we need players who will run through a brick wall for arsenal and he is definitely one of them.
I am not sure if any of you know this but after the swiss won the under 17 world cup the local media asked in an interview which club in europe they will like to play for and Angha said that his dream club is Arsenal and he actually said that he’s a gooner for life.
Not doubting you, but do you have a link please?
I like Angha as a person I remember that he scored against us and refused to celebrate which shows maturity and respect he has for arsenal something he can help his team mate Ansah with but we havent seen enough of him to say that he will make although 16 year old playing for the reserve is a very good start.
YG how tall and old is Migue?
our talent is really growing now isn’t it
Miguel, Hajrovic and Angha for the CB position although Ayling is very highly regarded so he has a very good chance as well of making it
Afobe, Freeman and Ansah for the ST position
Ozzie and Henderson for CM or AM position
Aneke for the CM or DM position
Silva for the LW position
Sean McDermott. for GK position
I think we lack a talented RB and also a true DM player other than I think we have one of the best collection of young player anyone can find in europe
Future looks bright doesn’t it
P.S a RW who can score goal and create them with crosses will really make this a great collection.
who is better…lansbury or wilshere..?
wilshere
Angha to start against Barcelona :D
will lansbury get into arsenal’s first team next year or will he be loaned out again.
in recent years we have seen full backs and midfielders getting into the arsenal team but why not any defenders or strikers
Villa is up 1 to nil, the Villains have brought their A game and the keeper Marshall has been wonderful by all accounts from the text!
Bottom line with AFC we need to bring in some potent strikers!!! ???????? Wellington first team?
1 to 1 now Barazite!
how do u know the score?!
Arsenal Tv Online live text!
