Henri Lansbury has joined Norwich City on a one month loan deal. The Canaries, who have a strong relationship with Arsenal’s Head of Youth Development officer Liam Brady, moved to sign Lansbury following a collection of midfield injuries.
Lansbury moves on a 28-day emergency loan deal. Norwich manager Paul Lambert spoke positively of his latest acquisition in an interview with News First this afternoon.
“I’m delighted Arsenal have agreed to let Henri come here. I saw him when he was at Watford and Scunthorpe and he’s a quality young player, very positive in his play.”
“We have been hit with injuries and midfield is one of the areas where we needed strengthening. Henri gives us more options in there which is important.”
You can follow Henri’s progress throughout his stay with Norwich in our regular Loanees reports.
Good for the lad.
what abt the wigan Cc game?
Well obviously he won’t be playing, I don’t think he would’ve started anyway. I hope we’ll see Ramsey on the bench at least and maybe the midfield will be Denilson, Wilshere and Rosicky.
JUST TO CHEER EVERYONE UP WITH SOME OUTRAGOEOUSLY RIDICULOUS NEWS , THE SPUDS THINK THEY WILL WIN THE LEAGUE !! EVERYONE BEATS US AT HOME .LOL…
Tottenham did not even beat us at football lol. 1 counter attack goal, one stupid handle ball and a free kick. Yes they won but common spuds..
Say what you will, it’s all part of the game. If we’re unable to defend ALL sorts of balls/attacks then we will fail. Like we have been doing for years and years – still no change.
Hope he does well for them, but is it only me that thinks he could do a better job for us than Denilson or Eastmond?
Denilson did not even play bad the other day. Yes, i agree that he is better than eastbound though.
darn,i wanted to see him at the cc.
Yes, i really like to see what he’s capable to do in there, i think he’s now ready to make big impact at championship level, but he needs some time to adapt new team and the way they playing, so 28 days will be quite fast to make anything happen but we shall see. Good luck Lans!
just abit of background information… Henri is joining up with his old school friend Korey Smith who also plays CM for norwich.. same year at school and same school… not a bad school team ey?
Henri’s your boy innit? I’ve noticed that you break news about him before anyone else.
Stapleton I would have thought he’s above that level seeing he was an outstanding performer for Watford.
Stick him in the Prem!
Henri lansbury is a type of player we need in derby games. I feel sorry for the kid hes keep getting shifted out playing here playing there. Hes going to be a utility player a great shame one of the bets young central midfielders i have ever seen at 15,16 in europe.
Look i am not having a go at nasri, fabregas, denilson.
But all they did was pass the ball, there was no action, enthuaism, desire. It was just showboating passing the ball knowing we had already beaten a team by half time.
I reckon if ramsey, wilshere had been playing there would have been more urgency in midfield. We looked so pedestrian. “nd half it was like we werent bothered the game was up whats the point of going foward.
I agree we lack someone with Henri’s character and determination in the first team right now (Vermaelen’s like this and boy do we miss him) but had he been playing against the Spuds, he wouldn’t have changed anything simply because AW’s team-talks are what brings complacency into our games. He tells them to play keep-ball while two-nil up instead of telling them to keep playing the way they’re playing.
whats the point of having so many youngest if u never play them whats the point
