Arsenal Loan Galindo To Gimnastic

Spanish Segunda outfit Gimnàstic de Tarragona have agreed to sign Samuel Galindo on a season long loan from Arsenal.

The 18-year-old, who has featured in all of Arsenal’s Reserve team friendlies during pre-season, returns to Spain after a difficult spell with UD Salamanca last season. Galindo struggled for fitness and opportunities, as the Union suffered relegation.

However, the creative midfielder has impressed Neil Banfield with his displays, and joins Nàstic in good form. He will put the finishes touches to the transfer this evening, when he has a medical before being presented to the media.

well, that sounds good but we are getting tired of these endless loans to these kids. buy senior players please. we are now developing heart attacks because of our team that does so well and then fluff at the most needed time.

these kids are not the reason that senior team are not buying. even these kids are not bought still there won’t be effect on senior team strategy.so leave these kids alone.they are not eating up senior team’s budget.there is a seperate budget for these players

Doesn’t Galindo HAVE to go on loan to put his time in so he can get a work permit?

If you have senior team concerns, then may I suggest you vent them somewhere else. This site is all about the younger generation at our club who are yet to become first team regulars, giving us information and updates on their career path with Arsenal.

Personally I believe that unless Galindo has a sparkling season with Gimnastic this year and stays clear of injury, I’m not quite sure how he will break into the senior Arsenal squad for next season. But here’s hoping as ever.

    He looks a great prosepct.

Those insisiting on signing experienced players are on the wrong website. This one is for kids and reserves FFS. The clue is in the title.

It seems to be taking Arsenal FC ages to complete any meaningful signing. Now, Mata’s price has been increased from the initial offer, after 1st August. Now due to desperation from Arsenal, we bid a late desperate bid which Valencia adamantly laughed at! but why always weight this longer? Arsenal’s finances reminds me of old ladies! when she transacts business with you, she has to double count to verify.

    why sincerely!

firstly, Rwandan Gooner you spelt “weight” wrong it is wait and some of the things you brought up are actually true, wenger seems to take ages to complete a transfer whereas man utd give the money straight away and it is done and sorted, like their acquisition of hernandez last year. Also this lad galindo is around 6ft 3 imagine him bombing down the wing with pace and hopefully strength he could become one for the future just needs playing time i suppose also nigel neita has signed a professional contract he looks a good prospect

Now with some good fortune and a fair run in the Spanish 2nd Division we could see a very promising player returning to Arsenal in a years time.

True allezkev, they are as clueless as any of us mate. Balague said the deal with mata didnt happen due to this phantom contrat expiring and a new one coming into affect! Then Mata’s pap, told the real reason; Valencia rejected our offer, simple as that.

And as for you little rant about galindo to a 2nd division club. WTF? So, he should go to a club thats higher up, but not play?

Give it a rest with the moaning, uits fucking boring

actually. balague is probably right about that sell clause.

Because the valencian news paper SuperDesporte has also mentioned it. When it comes to Valencia (the club) they are correct in 90% of their info.

SuperDesporte was the first one to know abt the sale of Villa, the sale of Silva, the sale of Joaquin and the fact that villa/silva werent going to be sold 2-3 seasons ago.

what’s the point of loaning these guys out the the segunda? sure they get to play first team football, but they aren’t likely to get national team chances and the level is too low in the lousy Segunda to make the player evolve enough.

why not loan him out to the belgian league or something? much closer football-wise to the PL

I hope Galindo comes good. It would be awesome for us and awesome for football. I always love when there is more international parody and a top class bolivian footballer would be great.

On another note, one must admit that the transfer situation is funny. At one moment I hear we have enough money that no money could buy Fabregas and we don’t need to sell Nasri for the 22 million for only one year of play but at the same time we won’t just go out and wrap up the couple pieces we need. It is very confusing. If we truly have the money then step up and land Matt Hummels. He is going to be one of the best center backs in the world for the next 10 years so just put this BS to rest if we really want a center back. If we have money then surely we understand that Gibbs and Traore are a massive risk. I mean keeping 1 is fine but both of them being our options at this stage of their careers is suicide. We are also still playing strikers as wingers which makes no sense. If we have the money then why not go after a top class versatile player the like Vidal because leaving the back up defensive mid job only on the kid Frimpong is a huge gamble. I am not moaning and saying we are horrible or anything like that. I am just saying, if we have the money like they say, then why are we not manning up and fixing our problems?

He was playing for the national team before he got injured, so I don’t see why it’s unlikely he will play again in the next 2 years.

In fact the Bolivian press and fans were talking about the coach building the whole team around Samuel after his debut. If he is healthy and playing he will almost certainly be a regular for Bolivia pretty quickly.

I mean I know it’s only the under-20 world cup, but that Columbia team is pretty stacked!!! I don’t know about the Korean squad though. I hope he makes it!!! Not at the expense of anyone but it jsut seems like he has gone quietly about his business and I love players like that!!! Sounds familiar , oh yeah how about squillaci?? french international been around the block , seen there and done it. Bought after snubbed bids for jagielka , Smalling and other we havent heard about as he was the only centre back in europe available with any pedigree at the time.
Ok G Cahill? Did you watch bolton getting spanked 5-0 by stoke FA Cup last season every goal was his fault. 15 million? Over-rated english average shite.
Koscielny is a quality defender , djourou needs Playing time . Yes we do need an experienced head at the back but its difficult to land the players good enough. They’re either 25 mill plus, or however high the bidding goes after that, or the clubs won’t let em go. Its such a risk for a club like everton to lose an experienced english center half like jagielka. On top of that, the transfer window is still wide open and its poker faces every time until the last few days every body should know that by now.
And less of the moronic insults there’s more than one person with a simmilar opinion to mine in the world and my dick isnt strong enough to penetrate all of em!

actually galindo is eligible for work permit as he’s been a full international for a while. i think arsenal sent him out on loan just to gain experience as he’s not ready for first team.
when fully fit and available he will be called up for national team and the bolivia fa can testify that when arsenal decide to apply for his work permit. another year out on loan and few caps, we will see him here next summer.
the one i am worried about its wellington, still he has a chance of brazil caps if he keeps his head up. their current national team is crap.
arsenal also decided not to process too many applications at the same transfer windows. just ryo for now.

‘No Brained’ , ‘dopey’ and ‘Joke’arent really moronic, they hit the nail on the head regarding the comments you made. Saying someones has their ‘dick up someones arse’ who the’ve never met before is a playground mentality moronic insult.
Some people are hard to please. Wenger serves up another world class 18 yr old local lad and you whinge about it. Well I take wenger and the afc management( who see training every day) and Riquelme’s opinion over yours : http://www.arabia.msn.com/News/sports/goal/all/2011/August/7989173.aspx
Re Squillaci, even Wenger says he only bought him as there was no-one else he could buy. You cant force a player to come and we cant offer 250000 a week like city so its difficult for us to compete for the best players. If Wenger goes to PSG soon , (part of me wants him too) then you’ll realise what a manager he is and that arsenal have been living in a bit of a dreamland ever since he arrived. But we’ll come back down to earth with a thud don’t worry about that!

At Shane: yes he wasn’t great against Columbia but he did score and that is his job. I don’t think he’ll make it at Arsenal to be honest but I hope he does make it somewhere…He hasn’t really been given a chance and he’s scored a fair number of goals for a winger in his time with the reserves…I think…maybe if he impresses this year on loan…and I mean realllllllly impresses then he might get a chance…if he doesn’t then I think it’s over for him…in fact it might already be over. Barazite didn’t moan and complain too much about not getting a chance and like Sunu I hope he too makes a good career for himself…they both could have complained a lot about having to go on loan all the time, not getting in the carling cup or even the fa cup etc, etc. I appreciate the fact that they didn’t deliver any ultimatums to Wenger either. I know Szczesny is a special talent, but I’m sure he could have gone about hankering for a first team place in a different manner. Even Wilshere. It takes confidence, a lot of confidence to be successful in anything, but you shouldn’t overstep your bounds, and Szczesny and Wilshere were lucky that Arsene knew how talented they were and that they weren’t at a club like Man City or Chelsea. SO in all I appreciate the fact that Sunu has been here for a while and has shown flashes of his talent but has kept his head down and continued to work hard!!! Hopefully one day we will turn out a star player who can be humble as well as talented!!! BUT I’d rather we win trophies than have a bunch of yes men, but you know what I mean by humble…not be an idiot humble…just grounded and all.

In all honesty, we have no clue how “hard” any of these guys work and what these guys truly say. Like it was pointed out (and I was probably wrong at the time), it seemed like Denilson made all these bad comments about us but when we got to see a video of him, he said only positive things and that he wished to join up with Arsenal again next year. Besides, I was not even getting this deep. Just saying he was not that great verse colombia but his goal was nice.

Does anyone know anything about Jose Rodríguez? The Mail website reports we are trying to sign the 16-year-old from Real Madrid. If true, we are building a bit of a Spanish enclave in the youth squad – not a bad thing looking at the technical quality from that country at the moment.

I can see Miquel also unsettling the team and wanting to leave in a few years time. So I’m happy for an English player to sign on for more years.

Bartley signed a new contract!!! I really hope he gets a chance, or at least goes on loan to a Prem. club.

how can any one complain about the youngsters at the club, and not see the irony that this site is dedicated to the youngsters?……

“I definitely agree that our home fans are the worst part about the club.”

That’s what happens when the board conspire to price out the loyal working class fans who have helped put the Club where it is today in favour of pompous, spoilt, rich shitheads mate! ;)

This is 2011, where religion, colour, creed, loyalty etc all count for nothing! The dirty dollar reigns supreme! The dirty dollar has sucked the fucking life out of this Club!!! FACT!!! We used to be the classiest football Club on God’s green earth! We’ve now become the biggest porkie-pie telling shits around!!!

Dude we have always had the worst fans so get out of here with that nonsense TJ. Even in our golden age, it was known as Highbury Library. Stop moaning about ticket prices like that is an excuse to boo your own players or moan at every miss pass. Arsenal play some of the best football in the world and are based in a big market city so of course their ticket prices are going to be expensive. Players wages are not cheap either. Try going to a New York Yankees or LA Lakers game and see how much tickets cost you. Fact is you are not forced to go to the games. Watch them on tv if you disagree with the prices. The whole world works under supply and demand and sporting tickets are not going to be any different.

You’re not banging on about this “12th man” bollocks about supoorters are you?

It’s the most overhyped and overused nonsense cliche throughout sport, perpetuated by Talkshite, media job seeking ex-pro’s, and primarily northerners to get on the side of the fans and justify them wasting money on their “opinions”.

It amazes me people fall for this “sucking the ball into the net” and the “fans were the extra man” lines.

If that’s the case Man City and Newcastle – who by common consensus have probably had the mostvociferous and largest fan bases per league over the last couple of generations are infact the two biggest underachieving clubs in that time.

Whereas the two sides that have dominated football in the P.L era are one which had a ground nicknamed the library and the other who’s own worshipped captain labelled the fans “prawn sandwich eaters” who clear off 15 minutes from the end.

The there’s those “European night at Anfield” – they still ****ing lose their nearly every season and we still hear it.

If anything, you could argue on these facts, the exact opposite is true.

LOL. You must have never played a sport in your entire life. Do you even understand something called pressure? Of course fans cheering for Fulham will not turn them magically into Barcelona if thats what you thought the point I was trying to make. Now I don’t know if you have ever had encouragement in your life but generally it helps rather then constant booing and moaning at you 24/7 creates high anxiety and pressure. Not really that hard to understand that 69 thousand people who are suppose to be supporting you, booing you is going to add a whole lot of pressure where as 69 thousand people cheering for you and rooting you on is going to give you confidence and adrenaline. I seriously take it as you have never played any real sport.

Of course I’ve played sport. I’m into double figures of London Marathons so nobody knows more than me how a crowd can pull you through something which you would have otherwise jacked in.

The point was in reference to your library point (and as an aside I never found it that during my season ticket days) that even if it did exist, it never at any point seemed to hinder us, the players (of at least 3 different generations) seemed some of the most comfortable groups of sporting sides I have ever seen perform and Wengers two double sides revelled in the atmosphere.

While all the time we were listening to ridicule from Bolton, Newcastle, Phil Orange etc whose sides were winning **** all and were often so overpumped it had negative effects.

and to respond to your point – and I’m by no means an apologist for our fans who have irritated me many a time. Arshavin, exactly s you say Shane, for instance cops a lot of unwarranted flak for trying to instigate something positive and direct when it doesn’t come off – rather than the easier option of checking inside and keeping possession with a 10 yard sideways pass.

Of course positivity is better than negativity, but you exaggerate it. It’s not as if 69,000 are booing them from the whistle, I can count on the fingers of one hand the times in my time, when there has been hostility within the first 35-40 minutes.

But if we are to have so many games where we leave it until 70 minutes before adding some penetration and directness – which 9 times out of 10 will reap rewards, you can understand some frustrations of why we are not doing it a little earlier.

Yes in the highbury Library days at least they were not as negative of course when nothing is going bad, that is easier to do. Silence is of course better then constant moaning and booing. I am not even arguing for the constant signing of fans because like you sound, I am a person that actually focuses on what is going on, on the pitch not pretending like I am at a karaoke bar. I am just saying the negativity from 69 thousand fans is going to have an affect on players on the pitch. They are only human like the rest of us. Of course I am not saying they Boo all the time either even though what they did to Eboue made me sick. They do constantly moan though. We can all hear it every game. Not hard to miss 69 thousand people moaning. Now how are fans need to approach the game is how they did in the 1st leg verse Barcelona. That was amazing and helped push our players on.

If I could play Devils Advocate (and I don’t necessarily believe this) but you could argue that the booing of Eboue, which I found sad, turned him instantly from a player who displayed multiple negative traits, including diving, feigning etc who cost us 2 points against Spurs, almost overnight to a commendable, likeable, committed clubman probably as popular as the mascot. How much the hostility towards him made him look at his own conduct we’ll never know, but there may have been a silver lining to it.

I was at the England game where Ashley Cole was booed, similar scenario in that not another player on the pitch, in the identical circumstances would’ve suffered that. England themselves are another example of where vociferous fans who outsing rarely reap the rewards.

For what it’s worth though, I actually ended agreeing with all of what you said in last post. At games you won’t stop me from yelling and urging us forward from the first whistle when chances and breaks are on.

However getting up to stand 10 times a match(and block of the view of the bloke behind) to demonstrate how I don’t like Spurs (when Spurs are the last thing i want to think about when we’re stroking 50 consecutive passes together!) whilst amusing, has a negligible effect, so you’d be less likely to see me doing that.

I’m sick of hearing so much hypocracy from ‘fans’ on here… The people who are slagging Barcelona off for their public pursuit of cesc are the same people who are slagging wenger for not coming out and saying we want this player and this player. At least he goes about things in the right manner. It’s a class which some fans need to take note of.

Wenger is an absolute genius, there’s no manger in the world who could do what he has done. To do what he has done under the constraints he’s had Is an unbelieveable feat, it’s not stubbornness he just has the best interests of the club at heart, some idiotic fans should look at that when their booing the team off in the emirates cup. Disgraceful.

Why not look at the teams around and see which other team has as good as squad with the money spent and who play the quality football and decide who to support. If you want to watch a team spend hundreds of millions and just kick teams off the park n cheat referees go and support Chelsea. Otherwise get behind wenger and the team n hopefully some medals will follow!

On galindo.. Good luck, he’s got a lot of attributes and potential to be a top player. Fingers crossed
