Steve Bould’s Under 18’s will be boosted ahead of Saturday’s trip to the MK Dons, with four first choice players returning to training this week after International duty, and injuries.
French forward Gilles Sunu returns after helping France qualify for the Uefa Under 17’s Elite round competition in the summer, he is joined by Kyle Bartley and Jack Wilshere, who had an unsuccessful campaign with England, Thomas Cruise was also called up but returned last week and featured in the 6-0 win against Cardiff on Saturday.
The biggest news is that the jewel in the Arsenal Youth crown, Henri Lansbury is back in full training after over a month and a half out with Glandular Fever, but Arsenal’s doctors will have to keep a firm watch on Lansbury, as the illness can stay for up to 12 months, and even light physical training can lead to severe fatigue, and even muscle tears meaning a come back against the MK Dons is very unlikely.
However they will have a fight on their hands to get back into the side, with Boulds boys impressing in recent weeks, but the manager admits that having that extra bit of quality will take you far in this competitive league.
“That little bit of quality has been telling in recent weeks.”
“I think we have got one or two of our better players back recently which will be a help. We were missing a man up top I think. Rhys Murphy is back from injury. Luke Freeman and Gilles Sunu have been away on international duty but they, and Jack Wilshere too, are back now.”
More team news, and an in depth look ahead of the game on Friday morning with our match preview.

Is it true tha Gilles Sunu was voted Player of the Tournament at that Under-17 Competition, or was it a different event at which he was crowned the best player (if any)?
BTW Thankyou for the update :)
Hi Stuart, it was a different event called the Algarve Tournament.
i produced an article on that before.

Keep up the good work
Cheers Sanderson.
How highly do you rate Kyle Bartley? When we signed him, he was being likened to Micah Richards; although I’m not expecting him to be as good as him.
No problem mate.
He has struggled when he first arrived, he had a broken ankle, so was behind everybody else, but he has played quite well, suspention and then being called up with England has made life difficult.
Big prospect though, but too early to tell.
Do you know if the match is open for the public to watch?
the home games are, but i am not sure about MK Dons.
i dont think so though.
CONGRATULATIONS from
