Barazite On The Come Back Trail Following Surgery

Nacer Barazite is set to step up his rehabilitation following surgery on his trouble some shoulder by returning to training with the club. The Dutch winger is expected to be back in action by the time the Reserves travel to Stoke City on the 10th of February.

Barazite opted to go for surgery on the shoulder in October after sustaining damage to the tendons whilst on international duty for Holland’s Under 21’s in Finland. He has had frequent trouble with this problem, previously dislocating it on his debut in the Carling Cup against Blackburn Rovers two seasons ago. The versatile frontman should now be cleared of all future problems.

Already a year into a new three-year-contract, Nacer began the campaign in fine form. After performing his annual heroics by scoring against Barnet in pre-season for the third successive year, he helped inspire an unbeaten start to the Reserve League South season. A 21 minute cameo against West Brom in the Carling Cup looked to be the start of something in what could be a defining season for the young flyer, before injury struck.

If the 19-year-old can prove his fitness quickly enough, he may well add to the loan experience gained with Derby County last year, with a handful of Championship clubs already waiting patiently for the prospect to return to full fitness.

About as much chance as Francis Jeffers has of looking at himself in the mirror and not crying himself to sleep?

Barazite is an excellent player. He has a great touch and vision. Injuries as usual are going to be his biggest enemy. Another loan move might be a good idea for him, and then he can come back to Arsenal for next season.

Excellent news, that boy could have a very big future if he can stay fit.

Jay sorry to go over old ground mate, but any more News on Zenzinho, this player along with Wellington and Galindo could make a mouth watering attack.

    Keep up the excellent work…

He’s been so unlucky, I rated him highly when I saw him first, so hopefully he gets some game time and shows AW what he can do.

If he wasn’t injured, would Barazite be playing in the reserves, be on loan, or vying for the first team?

every time ive seen nacar, play for our reserves hes always stood out, which is no mean feet in such a quality squad, the injuries weve had this season there is no doubt he wld have made the bench off the 1st team, like jay thomas has started to now, lets hope the time out has made him want it more
i bet that twat leg who wrote him off has never seen him play and is a fan that thinks wenger should spend £100m and only been a gooner since wenger arrived lol PRICK!!!

I quite like Barazite. His playing style reminds me of a certain Robert Pires. Let us hope he will turn out great for the Gunners.

Barazite is one of those players that is simply entertaining to watch. He has that Ibrahimovic feel in that at any time he can do something that makes you say “WOW”. Writing of a guy with no facts or reasons for it makes no sense. He is a u21 starter for holland and is still at Arsenal (not onloan at a 3rd division side at 20 years old). This obviously has talent but he is 1 of those guys that looks like it could really go either way. Obvious quality to become a top player but simply just has to stay focussed and push himself on. By the way oZbo…just because a person became a fan after Wenger came here doesnt meen anything. How would a 22 year old be a fan before Wenger got here?

BARAZITE WOULD BE THE BEST PRODUCT FROM OUR RESERVES, AFTER FABREGAS, WITH OR WITHOUT ARSENAL.
FIRST- ARSENE WENGER CLEARLY HAS NO FAITH IN HIM, OPTING TO PLAY WATT, AHEAD OF HIM IN THE CARLING CUP.
SECONDLY- ARSENE SEES HIM AS A MIDFIELDER, WHEN CLEARLY, HE IS A STRIKER, A LETHAL ONE AT THAT.

HE’LL DEFINITELY COME GOOD, AND BECOME ONE OF THE MOST FEARED STRIKERS IN EUROPE, WITH OR WITHOUT ARSENAL.

When I saw him in preseason I thought he looked really really good. I only saw him in preseason though and have not seen much of him ever since, missed the carling cup game. I saw some derby matches with him too and he didn’t looked awful good to me but he has the potential. If he has improved his maturity on the pitch since Derby then I believe very much in this kid. His vision can’t be very very good because I can’t remember anything of that when I saw him. I would say Watt and Sunu is the two to watch out for in the flanks.

Disappointing to see how far back he’s fallen in the pecking order.

Two years ago he was by far the best player in the reserves.

fair point, just older gooners have suffered alot off shit which makes the glory days feel more sweet, just seems those that havnt suffered, seem to think arsenal have a right to be there, and are more impatient, and my pre wenger dig was more aimed at glory fans that are in the mode of southern utd fans, watch it on tv and want to boast how good arsenal r in the pub, bit like the modern chelsea fan

Look I am from America so naturally I wasnt born into a family that supported a certain football team. I always played the sport but it was until like 2005 when I was 16 and got direct tv in which I actually had access to the overseas games. First I saw a bunch of Brazilian league games but then I saw Arsenal and became a huge fan. From then on I started to study this game not just be a fan of it. Long story short, I have never experienced Arsenal winning a title but I still support them. Of course you are always going to have ignorant impatient fans that dont see the long term picture but that is for every team.

    @ o2ba:
The first time I watched Arsenal was on February 2003. I was switching my TV channel looking for a good TV show when I accidentally switched into one of the local TV channel broadcasting an EPL live match featuring Arsenal vs Fulham. At that time I was not a big football fan (I never missed the world cup but I didn’t have any particular team to support), but the way Viera & co. play football really caught my eye (Arsenal won that game 2-1 with a last minute winner by the way). I really enjoyed watching Arsenal, so I was thinking “Why don’t I support them? They are playing some really good football, so at least I would have a nice entertainment to watch during the weekends”. At that point of time I’ve never heard (or never notice perhaps) about Arsenal before, so I didn’t realize that Arsenal is one of the biggest team in England. Not until a few weeks later when I read about them in the newspaper.
    —————————————————————-
Well, they eventually didn’t win any single trophy that year, but it didn’t stop me from watching them the next year (I’m lucky enough to see the historical invincible season). In short, here I am end up watching Arsenal’s game almost every week for about 7 years now. Not only as a football fan who is looking for an entertainment but as a true supporter. Yes, I am disappointed every time we lost or didn’t win any trophy, but it doesn’t stop me from supporting the Red & White throughout the years.
Well enough of the melodrama, my point is: please don’t put a label on other fans like that. A lot of fans who support Arsenal after AW came are a true supporter too just like u. Fans who truly love the club and never gave up on them just because they didn’t win any trophy. I might also have to remind you that a lot of Arsenal fans trough out the world are the fans who start to support the team since Wenger came with his breathtaking beautiful football (the one that Senderos refer as “Wenger Ball”). If Arsenal is now famous as one of the team that plays lovely football, it is because of him. So it really is not fair if you put a stamp on us (fans who support Arsenal after AW came) like that. With all do respect, a lot of us share the same passion for the club as much as you do.

    Cheers..

Sorry, Arsenal did win something in 2002-2003, it was the FA cup. Well I didn’t remember that one, maybe the local TV didn’t broadcast it or maybe I didn’t know about the FA cup yet..
    Anyway, my bad…

I know what you mean oZba. It’s all now, now, now. It’s like they want to be able to brag to their friends about all the trophies Arsenal “should” get if we splashed the cash. I just never saw the satisfaction in going out and buying all the best players instead of making your own stars. It’s too easy!! And one day it’ll all fall down and there won’t even be a foundation left with which to rebuild upon. They just need to do a little more research and they’ll come around. I wasn’t a fan until 2005!! I hated Man United and when Arsenal beat them out on penalties I really started to review their history and their club ethos. I was actually an Inter fan back then heaven help me!! lol. I found this site and I really like watching and reading about all the promising youngsters at Arsenal, in England and around the world.
