    Good riddance.

:D just kidding, I’m not from the UK so I didn’t know it has such a powerfully hostile meaning :D

he was never going to come out of a scrap with clichy, gibbs and botelho…
good luck to him though, it’s always good to see unwanted arsenal talent being snapped up by a club of high reputation.

yeah they paid £500,000 to loan him for the season, and if they want to buy him they have to pay another £3,500,000

Good luck to Traore, he needed a move because there is no point in him wasting away as a squad player at Aresnal.

Off topic, I know but James Shea is training with the England senior squad because of injuries to Carson and Foster. Does this mean that he may have a brighter future at Arsenal than most people seem to beleive?

What is your opinion of him JS, could he make it?

Matthew Connolly trained with the England squad couple of years ago and look where he is now. England train at Arsenal so if they need a spare man the simplest thing is to get an Arsenal youngster :) or that’s my take on it

I believe we should show this young player some respect for the services he has rendered to Arsenal. There are other players ahead of him at the club and I believe that he has shown great commitment to this football club notwithstandiing his inability to make the first team.

The boy is 20 and has a big future. We would be insane to agree a transfer fee for Traore a few hours before the transfer deadline. Plus, whatever action he gets at Juve will only increase his value (if we wanted to sell) which I can assure you is not merely 4m euro currently anyway.

Hleb is close to moving to Birmingham City FC.

Here is Hleb two years ago.
“I have learned so much from Arsene Wenger,” he said. “This man has always supported me and given me the chance to come to Arsenal. I would therefore never say anything negative about Arsenal.
“If I’ll go, then only in a different league, in any case, in England, there is only Arsenal for me.”

Yah but when options run low, you take what you can get. As for the comment, like we all always stick to what we say.

If our third choice LB can be loaned to Juve then our academy is doing something right
as for the deal any idea how much sell on fees is added to it
I am sure Traore will rip Serie A apart

Met Liam Brady in Ireland with the reserves and he was full of praise for James Shea. He said they thought he would never make it as he was too small but he has sprouted and is now on his 2nd pro contract. Brady really likes him, and after watching him against Man utd res i have to agree. He was excellent that day.

He’s always had great gk qualities but his height was always the concern. If he really has sprouted then i see no reason why he can’t be a top, top ‘keeper some day. Good luck to the lad.

I disagree. Yes, he has a better delivery than Clichy but not Gibbsy who has much more vision, creativity and variation with his crosses/passes in the final third. Armand might whip in dangerous and pacy crosses but Gibbs is much more likely to pick the correct option in such scenarios. This added to the fact that he has improved a lot on his overall defensive game (particularly his concentration which i believe has even surpassed Clichy’s levels) in the past year makes me rate him more than Gael at this moment in time. People will disagree but i wanna see Gibbsy have a little run at LB (while Gael is fit and raring to go) so we can see what he’s REALLY saying. This way, he will have to learn to deal with huge pressure knowing that he’s displaced the guy in the team who he has played understudy to for the past couple of seasons. I know he’s a mentally tough lad but if he manages to pass this test then he will grow into one of the best full-backs in the world. He is THAT good i believe.
