Loanees: Emmanuel-Thomas Assists On Debut

Welcome to this weekends Loanees Watch – Young Guns’ analysis, reports and updates on the progress of the young starlets currently plying their trade away from the Emirates Stadium. You can read all the latest reports below.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas played the full 90 minutes and claimed an assist on his debut for Cardiff City. The Welsh outfit beat Watford 4-2, with Emmanuel-Thomas, operating on the right of midfield. He claimed an assist for the fourth and final goal, setting up centre back Gabor Gypes. Aaron Ramsey did not complete his loan move in time to play.

Sanchez Watt started and played 62 minutes on the right of midfield as Leeds United drew 2-2 with Portsmouth. Watt had one of his quieter displays, and was replaced by Davide Somma just after the hour mark. Somma then scored the equaliser with his first touch.

Kyle Bartley played the full 90 minutes as Sheffield United lost 2-1 to Henri Lansbury’s Norwich City. Bartley showed impressive leadership qualities in a back four with an average age of 21, but couldn’t keep a clean sheet.

Henri Lansbury did not re-sign with Norwich City in time to face Kyle Bartley’s Sheffield United on Saturday. He is expected to go straight into the squad for next weekends fixture.

Mark Randall played the full 90 minutes for Rotherham United as they lost 1-0 to Wycombe Wanderers. Randall had a mixed afternoon on his first start for the Millers.

Vito Mannone missed Hull City’s 1-1 draw with Reading through injury.

Benik Afobe was not included in the Huddersfield Town squad that drew 0-0 with Colchester United.

Cédric Evina was an unused substitute as Oldham Athletic beat Brentford 2-1.

Gavin Hoyte missed Lincoln City’s 4-3 win over Stockport County due to injury.

Nacer Barazite was an unused substitute as Vitesse Arnhem lost 1-0 to Willem II.

Francis Coquelin played the full 90 minutes as Lorient beat Vendée Fontenay 1-0. Coquelin was returning to the Lorient side after injury.

Armand Traoré played just 90 seconds for Juventus against Sampdoria. Traoré started but was injured after a challenge just over a minute into the game.

Wellington Silva was not included in the Levante side that lost 4-1 to Sevilla.

Pedro Botelho played the full 90 minutes as FC Cartagena lost 4-0 to Celta Vigo. Botelho began the game on the left wing, but was forced to play as a striker in the closing stages.

Samuel Galindo missed UD Salamanca’s fixture this weekend due to injury.
