Video: Arsenal's Bellerin Scores For Spain

There are a number of exciting youth tournaments taking place this summer, most with involvement from Arsenal players. The Caspian Cup is no different, and features new signing Héctor Bellerín.

Bellerín is in action with Spain’s Under 16’s, and he scored their fifth goal in a 6-0 rout against Tajikistan. He began on the right of midfield, and started and then finished a flowing move. You can watch the highlights here, with Héctor’s goal coming at 1.25 into the video.

Fellow new boy Jon Toral is injured so was not included. There is live streaming of this competition, follow our Twitter or Facebook pages for full information.

unlikely, he’s been around the 1st team

Deulofeu made the bench of the first team once at the end of this season but didn’t come on. And he’s only played once for Barcelona B, coming off the bench for 15 minutes.

He’s unlikely to feature for Barcelona for some years yet, so we might have a shot at him with the lure of first team football coming much earlier with us than it would with Barca. That’s how we got Cesc, and now Toral and Bellerin.

Gerard Deulofeu has already signed a professional contract with Barcelona. So we couldn’t.. “grab” him, we would have to buy him like any other player.

This is against albeit inferior competition to be completely honest… as usual Mr. Sanderson would deny my post. I would like to see him against germany or one of the big countries not Tajik… i cant even spell it. Finally Botelho should be called back if clichy goes…. i dont know why he is not included in the preseason squad… Goes to show that wenger has his favorites.

I just remembered I had a dream about this kid last night/this morning. He scored a wonderful goal in preseason from the left side of the pitch. I would never have remembered it if it wasn’t for this article jogging my memory. Lets hope it’s prophetic.

Just saw u21. Smalling was shit. Sturridge was the only one I thought looked really great and could do the different. Lansbury almost never touch the ball and the whole England team looked pretty poor. Of course there were moments were some players did something great but overall it looked poor.

This makes me think is this really the best squad we could get or are some in the team cus they are over hype? Sure Spain was a really good team with great play but it didn’t looked too good when some of the players keep messing up the play like Smalling did with his raid and through balls. Lets see what this team can do against the others.

It felt exactly like watching an Arsenal-Stoke game, with Arsenal typically conceding a late goal against those fuckin` neanderthals! :)

What are you talking about Smalling was easily the best player on the pitch.
Its a real shame that we missed out on him.

the only worrying situation here is botelho is just like nasri and clichy, only one year left on his contract.

Maybe it is that he is not as good as everyone thinks. I admit I did not watch him much this year but the year before, he was such an average player. I don’t get why everyone has been hyping him up so much.

This guy could very well be Walcott’s saviour or someone to move him into the striker position. He hugs the sideline better than what Walcott did and crosses with a purpose.

He looks like he would be an attacking right back to me but you never know. Bale is a left back but has so much quality that they push him higher up the field.

OFF SUBJECT BUT WHATEVER….I do not know why we are going for chris samba (He is slow, technically inept and average at reading the game) the only thing he is good at is heading clear…. in a high backline strategy which uses the offside trap a lot, HE IS A LIABILITY!!!!!!! MR. CAHILL IS NOT THAT MUCH FURTHER UP THE LADDER!!!! let KYLE bartley play… i mean come on… in games that i saw he was better than bougherra in the back four and he was easily…. EASILY THE BEST DEFENDER…. why do you think they want him back… I cant help but feel wenger has lost the plot. he focuses intensely on the beautiful aspect of the game which involves the midfield and the reason why we have a glut of players playing that position. He ignores the down and dirty part of it…. its like smoke without fire….. its virtually impossible to win a championship…. had to get that off my chest. Last thing i coach amateur football and having evaluated bartley… mark my words he would be better than smalling in Five years if he is given equal opportunity.

Kyle Bartley needs to just wait for his time. Defenders unless they are out of this world, should not be starting until at least 23 at big clubs. Young defenders will make mistakes and you don’t want that to happen on the biggest stage and ruin their confidence. Also, Samba was a striker mate. He has good agility and foot work for a big guy.

with all due respect… pendersen is a striker but does not make him technically savvy or quick or able to read the game…. there is a reason someone came up to him like… Hey lad you are a big strong one mate… ever thought of playing defense? so dont tell me that he is all that and a bag of chips… watch the blackburn and man utd game and you would see Jones spared his blushes again and again and again…. he is an immmovable object… sometimes that is all a striker needs to be. I’m sorry your arguments hold no water because he does not need to start he can be blooded in gradually. What is our glaring weakness? set pieces…. what is kyle’s strength or one of them to say the least? aerial ability. He is a clean tackler…. Yes he needs to bulk up and tighten up his game but that comes with competition. playing in the europa, scottish cup, and scottish league, he stood out. enough said…. i believe the lad needs at least a shout.

He was a proffesional striker at a high level. You can’t be that with out being some what competent on the ball. Also yes, he had a couple bad games last year but who didn’t? Samba is far better then the current level of Bartley. It has been shown time and time again that throwing young center backs in to the deep end at big clubs is a bad idea. Could you imagine him dealing with an Eboue situation? The pressure on centerbacks is already massive but at a young age, you are setting them up for failure. Senderous was a good example of that. Let Bartley develop properly before he makes the step up for us.

I disagree with the person criticising Samba. He’s big, strong and powerful. He has premiership experience, leadership abilities and is aerial threat, he’d also be a big influence towards the young guns, especially defenders, I think he’ll be a good addition. * Good to see Bellerin scoring, he’ll develop well at Arsenal BUT I’m more lookig forward to **Ryo Miyaichi** – he has raw talent, and has a big future ahead of him.

in my comments….i quite clearly said he needs to be blooded in slowly of course he can play every carling and F.A cup match and come in as a substitute on matchday… no one is advocating that he play champions league football. what baffles me with your argument is that you mention a quite average senderos. talent is talent. in addition to the right work ethic which kyle has you make a starter. why do we train these boys then if we shy away from playing them. Rio ferdinand played for leeds at a very young age at the highest of levels. phil jones played for blackburn and STOOD OUT at the most highest of levels. Wojiech is our goalkeeper (the most scrutinized position if you ask me) at a young age. the list is endless…. i can go for ages. The point is you blood them in. Finally on the samba note. he is an average centre back and i look forward to the I told you so moment. He was a forward till 17 converted to centre back… used by allardyce against tottenham as a bruiser…. in the forward position… the aim? get them tired…. kick long balls and get him to head them. he did not hold up the ball, interchange with his strike partners, dribble… no my friend he was a bruiser… and finally what does that have to do with playing centre back?

I already said mate. I personally am not a fan of playing young centerbacks unless they are of amazing quality. Senderous has similar qualities to John Terry and even had a great world cup. The problem was he made a few mistakes and it went down hill from there. I would much rather Bartley gain his experience on loan at a Rangers.

not to belittle your argument Shane, i believe he would help us… i fear his lack of pace would be his bane in our high back line defensive strategy unless that changes.

its only an insult to arsenal fc that we are linked with overrated average players no one else wants.
why aren’t we link with top defenders?
we dont need samba to outplay and outscore the likes of stoke city. we used to score 4 goals in the first half alone.
its demeaning to even think these 2 clowns are the answer to our problems. yes we need new players but they have to be better that what we already have. remember if we bring in someone in defence we risk losing bartley. at least someone worth it we cannot repeat the same mistake of losing nordtveit for schillaci, even made things worse.

getting rid of denilson and bendtner is also like new signings coz they were waste of space.
Almunia and eboue, not sure about the russian. hopefully if he stays he’s gonna work hard.

in fact getting all the deadbeats off the wage bill could help the club and balance the book to keep players like nasri happy.

yes bad players have to go but some will have to move on for the good of both club and player.
like arshavin and rosicky, we all know they are not in the same category as bendtner, almunia and denilson. they are quality but things are not working out for them at arsenal fc. it will be good if someone else take their place and maybe they will show their potentials at another club.

I don’t care how many people wanna keep banging on about Bendtner being a poor player, i promise you he isn’t! He’s at a much higher level than the likes of Denilson and Almunia who have never been close to receiving an international cap! How many times has NB won Danish footballer of the year? That aint no joke ting, you know? Watch when we sell him and he goes and beats it up at his new club as they will play him in his natural position and feed him the balls he’s meant to be fed. Just watch! Many of our fans will be left dumbfounded. I can almost promise you this will happen!

TJ – His problem is not his skill level or talent. Yes dumb people will say he is a bad player. His problem is his attitude and his excessive need to talk instead of perform. He has what I refer to as the Ibrahimovic syndrome. It is the feeling that you have performed better than you actually have. He could become a great player but it is the whole it is one thing to have potential but some day you actually have to do it. Also with his need to always talk and complain, you get the feeling that he is a negative attitude for the team to have around.
