Arsenal Miss Out As Zézinho Joins Santos

Arsenal have missed out on Brazilian winger Zézinho after Serie ‘A’ outfit Santos signed him on a 24 month loan deal with the option to buy. The Gunners have twice had bids turned down by Juventude for the winger who has only just recovered from injury.

Zézinho’s agent Fernando Silva has been attempting to engineer a move away from debt-ridden Juventude who have been forced to cancel the contracts of their grounds staff and kit manager following relegation to the third tier of Brazilian football. Arsenal have twice had bids rejected but they returned with a third before Christmas, which was accepted. However, a presidential change meant the deal was not concluded.

A team of businessman have maintained a keen interest in the player who is a Brazilian Under 17 international but an injury last month curtailed a deal. On his return to full fitness Santos have moved to snap him up in a new look side which includes Manchester City forward Robinho.

He will link up with his new team-mates on Monday.

Sanmi Odelusi is a fantastic young striker. He played with Benik Afobe at school level and is rising through the ranks at Bolton. He’s not as good as Benik.

People have been upset with how Zak has conducted himself on some social networking sites. He is a massive Manchester United fan and he made some comments at the weekend which upset a few people.

Why doesn’t Ansah switch to United then?? I’m serious. Dead serious. When you really think about it, if he loves United, then how can he ever give his all to Arsenal?? I know Ramsey is a United fan, but he was wise enough to keep his mouth shut, and i trust him. But if he gloats around the team after United beat us, then he should have hopped on their plane and flown back to Manchester. i don’t have face book or whatever it is, but if somebody does, you can tell him to go fuck himself sideways. I don’t have the first clue what he said, but if he doesn’t have the decency or maturity to act respectfully around the team after a hard fought loss to one of our biggest rivals, then I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the team. We don’t need any half assed jerks in our youth team or in the first team. That’s all i have to say. If in fact he didn’t say anything, or what he said wasn’t what came out in the press, then I sincerely apologize. But I won’t change my stance until then. Fuck him.

I think it is funny how everyone gets so upset about stuff like this because everyone puts these players on a pedal stool. Honestly they are just immature kids like we all were at 14,15,16. If you have facebook and are friends with them you would have known this already. Frempong said he felt embarrassed after Man Utd lost to Leeds…blah blah blah. Not to mention he him and his friends have been saying he is the future of the black stars aka ghana, for ever now even tho he is an England youth international. The way they talk on Facebook is not how any proffesional players talk and they will all mature.

I keep hearing the Walcott is a Liverpool fan, Fabregas is a Barca fan, Arshavin is a barca fan, Ramsey is a man utd fan, etc. Those are completely different situations because they didnt grow up at Arsenal. They joined at 16 at the earliest, and that is old enough to already be a true fan of a different club. I find it a little messed up how you can play for a big club from the ages of like 9,10,11 and not support that club. Its not like you were a true supporter of a club at 8 years old. Also the English comment bothers me. I root for the “Local Lad”, because it really is a special thing for a kid to make it big at the club he supported as a boy, but for one you see my first issue with Ansahs comment. He doesnt fit that role by the fact that he doesnt support Arsenal. The 2nd thing is, it isnt a player’s right to play for the club just because of your nationality. Every player has to earn his spot in the team regardless of where you are from.

I just read what Zak Ansah had to say, what a little douchebag and Arsenal should fine the idiot for those comments, just like what Tottenham Hotspurs did with Darren Bent when he accused Daniel Levy of holding up his transfer to Sunderland, and i think that little outburst cost Darren Bent two weeks wages, so the same rule should apply to Zak Ansah as well.

It’s official. Zak Ansah will not make it at Arsenal or United. I don’t care if he is young he is stupid. Its one thing to love United but to talk shit about the team he is fighting for…. that is just plain stupid. He is taking everything he has for granted and with such an ego already that will only make it harder for him. At this level he might be one of the best. But in reserves and at Arsenal level that is totally another story. There is a reason why only selected few who is highly discipline can make it. Let’s see what he’s gonna say when bad times comes for him in the club. His form will dip and the competition will be fears in U18. He only gets chances at U18 when our regulars is not available and to educate him. Lets see how good he really think he is when its fetting real serious.

The public does it all the time. Treat players like they are perfect angels then get shocked when the do something dumb or mischievous. Tiger Woods is a perfect example of that.

THAT IS WHAT IS MISSING IN OUR TEAM. NOBODY WANTS TO ADMIT THIS. THESE FUCKERS DON’T GIVE IT 100 PERCENT BECAUSE THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF IT. THEY DON’T LOVE THE CLUB. YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE UNITESD PLAYERS THAT PLAYED AGAINST US. WOULD THEY HAVE RATHER BEEN PLAYING ANYWHERE ELSE?? WOULD THEY?? WE PUSSYFOOT AND PUSSYFOOT AROUND THIS WHOLE SUBJECT, BUT IT IS AN ISSUE. IT IS A MAJOR ISSUE. IT KILLS ME TO SAY THIS, BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I WILL BE SHED IN A BAD LIGHT, AND SO I SHOULD FOR MY LANGUAGE, BUT THIS IS HOW I SEE IT. I CAN BE MUCH MORE ARTICULATE, POLITE AND CONSIDERATE, BUT THIS HAS JUST THROWN ME COMPLETELY OVERBOARD. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW ANGRY, UPSET, DISMAYED AND DISSAPPOINTED I AM WITH THE ATTITUDE BEING DISPLAYED BY SOME OF THE PLAYERS AND STAFF. THERE SHOULD BE NO ROOM FOR THIS KIND OF THING AT OUR CLUB. I WANT TO SEE PLAYERS WHO WILL GIVE THIS TYPE OF COMMITTMENT, AND IF THEY CAN’T GET THEM OUT. GET THEM OUT AND FIND OTHER PLAYERS. I’M SORRY BUT FOR ME, IT ISN’T ALL ABOUT SKILL. IT ISN’T. FOR ME HEART AND INTELIGENCE COMES FIRST. IF YOU DON’T HAVE THAT, THEN I DOBN’T CARE HOW GOOD YOU ARE. I DON’T THINK WE HAVE ENOUGH OF THIS IN THE FIRST TEAM, AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE SPREADING INTO THE YOUTH AS WELL. I’M TELLING YOU, GET THEM OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!

I retract what I said about Faregas. But I don’t take back anything else I said. I have great admiration for Arsene Wenger, no exceptions. Don’t you feel the same though?? I want players who wouldn’t ever want to play anywhere other than Arsenal, and to me it looks like that might not necessarily be the case. I don’t want a player who religeously folloher club. Or a player who gloats in front of the team or insults our fans and players after a loss to a rival. Or any team for that matter. It only makes sense. I would strongly question the staff if they didn’t at least talk to Ansah about what he has done. He will have a LONG< LONG way to go now for me to believe in him, regardless of his talent. Don't you want players who will fight to exaustion for the club?? We deffinately have SOME, but not all of the layers are willing to display that type of commitment. That's the case, at least in my estimation. Tell me if you think I'm nuts.

Milo…. I got a news flash for you. We would probally not have a full team if Wenger followed your rant. I would say 85 percent of players in the worlds dream is to play for either Barca or Real Madrid. You have to accept that. Cruyff loved Ajax but still moved to Barca. Henry loved Arsenal and Wenger but is at Barca now. I doubt there is a player that wouldnt want to join those 2 clubs. They are at the top of the food chain and the most prestigious clubs there are. This is just reality. I which brings to Fabregas, I actually find it amazing how long he has stayed here and seems to want to stay even with Barca being his boyhood club and the things I stated above not to mention they are the most dominate team in the world right now. @ champs league titles in 4 years, are undefeated this year in the spanish league, won 6 trophies last year, have players like Messi,Ibrahimovic and Iniesta. Hell the more I type the more I respect Fabregas for staying here and helping with Wengers dream to turn us into that type of club. Most other players in his shoes would have jumped ship by now. I also find it messed up when Mannn Utd fans complain about Ronaldo. He stayed there 5 years won 2 titles , a champs league trophy, finished runner up 1 year, won the world player of the year. What more do you want.

Shane, I still strongly disagree. Either you love the club or you don`t. It`s as simple as that. You can`t split your committment or priorities or your alliance between Arsenal and another club. Or any club. If you are not good enough to make it at the club you love, then no matter what, if you are in DIRECT competition with them, you will still feel a bit of a detachment from the club you are playing for. It isn`t complicated, it`s human nature. I still think that if Fabregas really wants to stay, then he should just say that he isn`t going to Barcalona. But you know that he can`t say that because he will always doubt his decision if he decided to not return to Barca. So he will go. You can`t have players like that in your team. You can`t.

Bring in boys who`s dream it is to play for Arsenal. Seek and ye shall find I think is how the saying goes. If they are reasonably talented, they will make it and be successful. And it doesn`t matter where they are from either. There are Arsenal fans all over the world. And believe it or not, some of them actually play Football. Imagine that. Shane sometimes you piss me off no end. If you don`t love the club then you can`t play for it simple as that. I don`t know how you can disagree or say otherwise. It wil never actually be this way, but it doesn`t prevent me from being frustrated about it. Call me old fashioned, idealistic, or whatever, but this is the way it should be, and I think at least one Knight of the British kingdom would agree with me. The majority of players at the club he is a part of would as well. I`ll leave it to you to figure out who I am speaking of. And don`t say I`m anti-Wenger. I`m not, I`m just using this knight as a successful practitioner of my ethos.

Milo…you dont get what I am saying. We would not have a team. Most players would jump at the chance to join Barca or Real Madrid. Even Man united players. Even Juventus players. It doesnt matter, they are the top of the food chain. As long as you give your all for this club while you are here, you cant ask for much more. The fact is tho that they greatest players in the world will most likely end up playing for Barca or Real at some point.

Then maybe I am anti football. What good is it if every player wants to play for those teams?? I don’t believe that for a second though. Like I said…ever here Ryan Giggs say he wanted to play for Barca?? What about Scholes?? We are missing these types of players. The only ones we have are Van Persie and Vermaelen. Song isn’t in the same class as Giggs or Scholes or even Gerrard or Carragher or Terry or Lampard. He will be though if he sticks with Arsenal. I want more players like that. It IS possible. I think it is. They are out there to be found. I wouldn’t want to play for Barca. Would you?? I wouldn’t want to play for Real Madrid either. I am a football fan and I appreciate the great history these two clubs have, but I love Arsenal the most. I’m sure there are thousands of young boys out in the world, who are much better football players than me, who would give there all to play for Arsenal. I don’t know how it would be possible to evaluate them all, but there should be a question that all the players who come to Arsenal should be required to answer. Why do you want to play for Arsenal?? Is it for a selfish reason like wanting to make the national team?? Is it to further your own career?? Or is it because this is the only place you want to be?? The players who answer with that type of response should be given priority over the others. If there are one or two oustanding, and I mean outstanding talents, then MAYBE you can consider condensing them with the rest. This is how I would do it. I know it will never happen but that is what I would do. You have to be able to trust your players and not worry about who might be leaving in a few years and who might be staying. And by leaving, I don’t mean retiring.
