Arsenal U18’s Edge Fulham While U16’s Lose

Arsenal’s Under 18’s edged a tight encounter with their Fulham counterparts this morning at London Colney. A brace from Chuks Aneke combined with a Roarie Deacon strike gave the Gunners a 3-2 win.

Elsewhere, Steve Gatting’s impressive Under 16’s continued their shaky form by slipping to defeat against the Cottagers. Swiss centre-back Elton Monteiro made his first start at this level after completing his switch from FC Sion.

More to follow.

Did Angha play for the U-16’s? I believe it was worried he was seriously injured in his last match.

Nope, Martin is still injured and didn’t play. Not sure how bad his injury is, I’ll try and update that when I can.

J, I’ve never seen Ozyakup in action yet everyone says he is definitely a future talent, what kind of player is he? From what I gather he’s a central midfielder and usually plays the holding rolein a 4-2-3-1, but anything else?

Really good creative midfielder, reminds me abit of Sneijder. Great passer.

He’s not a defensive midfielder, he’s an attack minded passing midfielder. Similar playing style to Fabregas.

J on the Arsenal site it says ‘Ausah’ played. Is he a trialist or have they just made a typo and it’s supposed to be Ansah?
