Ryo Set For Reserves Run Out

Ryo Miyaichi will be on Reserve team duty this afternoon, Young Guns understands.

The 18-year-old has travelled North with Neil Banfield’s second string, who take on Wigan Athletic in their second Premier Reserve League fixture of the season. Miyaichi was added to Arsenal’s Champions League qualification round squad yesterday, but after missing a number of training sessions while awaiting his visa application, the quick-silver winger is a little short on fitness.

The fixture kicks off at 2pm, and you can follow live tweet updates on our Twitter feed.

Jamie, I must say you are doing a great job in here, twitter & others alike. As much as I do know that, we all want great things happening around Arsenal, in your deepest of heart & with pure sincerity, where do you see this club going with all the saga going on? Who is actually to blame for all these tsunami period? Arsenal got great young talents who will light the EPL on fire in no distant time but, this season, I fear for it trust. Cheers

Want him to play instead of Arshavin too. He is resilient and determined. Arshavin is too slogish and gets tires easily

Frankly speaking, this site is the only place where we can get any positive coverage of AFC these days. Ryo is an immense talent, no doubt about that, but will he mature into the player he can become with no experienced heads around him?
Also, any news on campbell’s work permit, or is he going on loan?

    is ryo the new vela?
after all the hype he will never get a chance to play with both donkeys arshavin and bendtner ahead of him.
hey arsene, it should be the other way round!
ryo in the first team and arshavin and bendtner actually given p45.
well Ryo looks like the new vela. bendtner our regular winger is back in the squad so arsene doesnt need him.

Ryo just came back from japan if you haven’t heard yet. He missed a few training sessions and by the way he is NOT better than bendtner as a forward. Bendtner haven’t play outwide for us yet this season so please. Ryo is also competing with Chamberlain so why Ryo ahead of chamberlain? If anyone who should be given game time it is chamberlain ahead of Ryo cus he has already played against united once and he was good in southhamton and he has train a lot more.

    jom!

i remember vela just came back from mexico, he’s too tired to play competitive games, off to reserves…. off to a loan team.
ryo is better than bendtner just like vela, but unfortunately wenger favouritism will never stop.

when the club already announced that the signing is completed it means he’s eligible to work in th uk. it means all the paperwork are in order.
anyway, apart from being costa rican international he can also claim his irish ancestry which will give automatic right to work in uk.
