Freeman Returns As Yeovil Cancel Loan Spell

Arsenal and Yeovil Town have agreed to cancel Luke Freeman’s loan spell with immediate effect. The striker, who is currently injured, returned to London this afternoon.

Freeman agreed on a move to Huish Park in the summer; rejecting an offer from Queens Park Rangers after manager Terry Skiverton promised the youngster regular playing time. Luke settled quickly, scoring on his debut, but playing time in recent weeks has been hard to come by.

Yeovil confirmed the news today, blaming Luke’s injury problems as the main reason behind the decision. However, it’s believed that the 18-year-olds struggle to adapt to life in League One is also a driving force, with Skiverton opting to use the former Gillingham striker as an impact substitute.

Freeman made 15 appearances, scoring two goals during his time with Yeovil. Arsenal will look to find a new loan club for Luke once he completes his treatment.

Let Benik Afobe stay on loan since he is doing so well, and once Luke freeman is fit he can play in the F.A. youth cup

Could you expand on those struggles, J? Lack of physicality? Slow thought? Or maybe too clever and nippy for the league, not well used by his teammates?
With hindsight… QPR would have been excellent.

So you want Wenger out because he spent £500k?

Didn’t realise that was a sackable offence myself tbh.

Maybe he will actually turn out to be good, mmmm?

Luke is only a small guy. His qualities are skill, good pace and ability to play off the shoulder of the defender.

Yeovil play come nice stuff at times, but when you’re a small guy wanting the ball between the centre backs, it doesn’t work so much in League One. He ended up getting kicked and pushed around.

He is certainly a very good player and did find the goal a couple of times – being in the right position to finish.

It just wasn’t a good fit for Luke. He’ll be better suited elsewhere.

John did you see Bendtner ( world best striker hahaha ) lazy performance? Pls do us a favour and dont say ever Bendtner is better like JET or Afobe!!! These 2 are way ahead of him if they are both in same age like Bendtner is now.

Nicklas Bendtner is coming back from a long term injury hes not going to hit the ground running.

He needs to stop with his stupid comments. He needs to prove himself first before biggin himself up.

But hes still a better fooballer than both afobe and jay thomas you will see that in time.

Nicklas Bendtner is shit admit it John. He will do great for the likes of Aston Villa or Everton but not for a club like Arsenal. I thought also he will come good but lost confidence in him. Even Vela stopped to perform. We need a 20 goal season striker in january. That goal from JET Bendtner never could do, fact. And Afobe will run the show. Have trust in them.

Nicklas Brendtner isnt shit lol Hes a better footballer than jay thomas

Nicklas Bendtner at 16 was killing reserves teams with pace, power, skill, dribbling ability. You watch him now he hardly does what hes good at it. he looks like a sunday league footballer but he really isnt he just needs time and to say injury free

Jay thomas yh hes a quality footballer.

Wenger rates (bendtner) him highly. He signed a new contract.

problem is injuries hes been dogged with them and we havent seen the real bendtner in a “Long time” quote wenger.

Last season he was practically injured after the car accident and he needs to recover

Carlos vela what the hell has happened to him.

In my opinion he hasnt been given a proper chance by wenger and i dont know why it is.

Vela in my opinion is our best finisher at the club hes an exciting player to watch. he could expolde any minute just want wenger to give him a go

I doubt that Wenger would splash that kind of cash on a 16 year old because if he is that good, then we would be competing with the likes of City, Madrid and Barcalona and they can all out bid us just like that.

John Wenger rates Denilson and Diaby. This is madness!!! I agree Bendtner was injured but there is better talent out there imo. I really hope Bendtner will come good but for now doubt it very much. Still dont understand how you cant rate Benik if he was in the plans from barca!!! For me at his group age the best talent out there.

Kentpaul this statement is from the president of the club so not a agent who just wants to put the price high. But the president could do the same but to name our club and these are all lies he would get in serious trouble I think.

I thought that was a joke.

The kid is boasting on twitter about buying a land rover seriously the kid needs to be more mature. You cant say things like that on twitter.

Hes probably even more big headed than nicklas bendtner

we need to scrap this 4-3-3 garbage if we want the likes of vela, bendtner and walcott to come good at Arsenal.

Both Vela and Walcott would be good up front with Bendy or Chamakh.

Let’s get back to 4-4-2 and start playing some decent football both on the floor and a bit more direct. Give teams more than one thing to think about when defending against us

    come on you fucking gunners

I’ve been saying this for a while now. We haven’t got enough responsibility to play a 4-3-3. We don’t work as a team in this formation. I don’t know if a 4-4-2 will shore up our defence but it will definitely make the world stand up and see young Theo in a new light. Playing as the advanced forward alongside NB, RVP or MC, he will cause havoc.

Hey, he’s 19 years old and he’s a human, let him be what he is, we’ll see what he’s capable to do in near future, you’re a fool to write him off and i think you can’t spot out the difference of real talent and a half mediocre. That’s what i think about Bendtner, if he wanna play, he’ll have to look new grounds and Vela doesn’t have anykind of chance as long as we’re playing with one proper striker, so he’d better be looking something else too!

It seems like Arsenal is interested in signing Sime Vrsalyko, he would be a great buy, and with Eboue moving to midfield a cover for Sagna would be good.
